Hi friends,  I love this color yellow, it makes me happy.  How are you today?  We are fine.  The sun is shining but it’s only 45 degrees with a very chilly wind.  I’ve been continuing to hang laundry out on the line but boy does it make my hands cold.  However, the smell of the dry (cold) clothes as I fold them, sweet & fresh, is quite rewarding. *breathing deep*

The funeral for Grandpa on Saturday was sad but special, too, to see all of the family together again.  There were lots of hugs and catching up.  Rich and I enjoyed being back in our hometown.

Speaking of Rich, we have been going on dates again. heart Once a week, we leave the older children in charge of the younger ones and the two of us go, alone, to town.  We like to go to the bookstore, ordering coffee and tea on the way.  Maybe we do a little shopping, and we also have a light dinner.  We’ve done this for the last four weeks, and we can both sense a difference in our relationship; we’re more sure of each other, we remember each other again, we’re developing our friendship and love.  I love the intimacy of marriage, the feel of his hand in mine, listening to him (again) tell me how beautiful I am, and knowing how right we are for each other.

Here is a verse that I read this morning, in my one year Bible, that I especially liked:  What you say flows from what is in your heart.  Luke 6:45

 My pretty kitties

I got out Caleb’s old trains and set up a track for Seth and Sarah.  It kept them occupied for a little while:

  1. I love the yellow flower pics!Bam and I have talked about trying to establish a “date” night once a week or bi monthly or something… maybe next month we can really get on that. Sounds lovely to be just a couple again for a little while.

  2. Hmmm, this week I’ve been reading a book by Casey Treat entitled ‘Renewing the Mind’ which has me meditating on Matt. 12:35, A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things… and also on Prov. 4:23, Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Your heart certainly is full of love, gratitude and grace!I noticed a castle sitting on the hearth of the fireplace 🙂 We like to build castles around here – where did you find it.. or maybe your boys made it? I tried hard to steer my boys away from Thomas the Tank trains when they were young… didn’t work out the way I wanted ;)We now have tons of tracks n trains.Had a taste of winter the last two days – cold and windy, but the sunshine helped a bit :)I enjoy all your nature pictures!

  3. Love the yellow! My parents have bushes like that at the end of their drive way and I picked a bunch of branches and put them in a pitcher on my fireplace the other day. Those are cute train pictures.Isn’t it nice to have babysitters in the house? Jeff and I have been enjoying having our oldest ones be able to stay home and watch their siblings. Going on dates is so special. Happy Tuesday to you. =)

  4. I been loving yellow this spring and seem to be attracted to anything I see in that color. In fact down here the wild yellow flowers have really come out with all the rain we’ve been getting.I don’t have really any clothes in yellow but I’ve been dying to buy something in a pretty yellow but haven’t found anything to fit my fancy.

  5. hi shanda…….love the yellow – it’s my favorite color!  love the smell of laundry that has been hung outside.  right now we have our boat stored next to our garage where our clothesline is.  it stays there from november through late april/early may until we can get it in the lake, so i can’t really hang much out there until then.  and i love the verse from luke.  as usual, thanks for sharing!
