Rich left for a business trip this morning and will be back late Wednesday night.  We had a fun weekend with the children, to prepare for the time we would be missing each other.

I have a few things planned for the week-nothing all that exciting, things like “cleaning off porch” and “planting a few flowers in the garden”.

Look for short posts this week, maybe with just a picture or two~

Blessings and Love,

Shanda

PS, Thank you for the loving & kind comments on the last post.   ((hugs))

  1. Coco just said “Why are you looking at that picture for so long?”  and I said “Look how many people are in the picture, there is so much to look at!” and then I said “I know them”  I had to chuckle because you really do have a LARGE wonderful family!I LOVE how Sethy is looking at you, and the red shoes, I love those too!

  2. I read Jo’s comment, and then had to go back up and look for the red shoes because I missed them the first time. I have a pair of red ballet flats that give me blisters but I wear them anyway just because I love the way they look so much! The picture of the violets reminded me of Violet Vale in the Anne books!Hope you have a restful and peace-filled week. 🙂

  3. Love how Seth is looking at you!  So sweet!  I thought about you a lot this past weekend.  I will be praying for you and the kids as Rich is gone this week.  The flowers are so pretty, thanks for sharing them.

  4. Such beautiful pictures! I’ll be thinking of you as you hold the fort down on your own. I do that myself alot.May I ask how you get your whole family to want to sit down for a family picture so often? Some of mine (hubby included) tend to run from the camera:)

  5. oh so wonderful to see the flowers popping out! I love violets, something so sweet and surprising about them. That is a wonderful picture of the family. I like how you are all lined up on the wall. I too loved Seth’s look at you…his mama!Lord bless your week sweet friend! hugs, Jenny

  6. Your “cleaning off the porch” comment reminded me of the long overdue cleaning that needs to be done around here.  Our carport is looking quite horrendous.  I had thought of working on it Saturday, but ended up helping Steve all afternoon putting up a chain link fence.  We now have an area to pen up my goat, and whatever else may come along. =)  Happy Monday, and saying a prayer for your week….

  7. Love the family pic. Jacob is turning into a MAN! Augghhh….I’m sure you feel that way too! I can’t imagine Sam being that big, but I know he will be…someday. I love how Seth is looking at you…babies love their mamas!Thinking of you today–the breeze is blowing outside. We’re being quiet. 🙂

  8. Hi Shanda :-}     I had read your posting the other day …. just still unsure exactly what I should say. In the mean time, I just pray – for you. Then I read the title of this posting … “Breathing space”. Um mmm I know I am being nosy here, but are things between you and Rich okay?  You had had some pretty ntense conversations ….  I mean, yes, I did get the part that he’s on a business trip – again …    Before I had had a chance to read any of the other comments I KNEW that I was going to comment about how intensly and yet lovingly Seth was looking up at you. So precious!  I also planned on commenting on those red shoes. My oh my. They are so “girlie” … but yet also so cute! Never had that kind in this house ;-p      May the Lord grant you wisdom, endurance and even sanity as you yet again ‘single parent’ it. Your friend,Cheryl B.http://thebzhousethatlovebuilt.blogspot.com

  9. Shanda, praying for you and the children while Rich is gone.  I really appreciate your posts…so refreshing and real!  May the peace of God that passes all understanding be more evident in the next few days and nights.  Blessings my friend.  =)

  10. Great pictures! I especially like the last one! Everyone is looking at the camera accept Seth, who is looking at his mommy! So cute! May God give you grace and strength to deal with everything, and may the time fly by until Rich is home again.

  11. This is the MOST fabulous picture of you and your family! I hope the week goes by with everyone intact! And, hey. It’s oKAY to have a temper tantrum once in awhile. You seem to be sweet about seeing where you went off the deep end and allowed the Lord to pull you back out. Love your brutal honesty………GAil

  12. @purpleamethyst76 – a favor to ask, I noticed in the comments posting section, of the posting about Chicken Salad, that you had commented back to a couple of people using the comment section. (hope that makes sense!)  So… I got to wondering if you had left any comments back to me in any of your postings. I went looking and found this one. My favor is this – would it be possible for you to email any comments back? That way I don’t have to come looking for them, I can just check for new postings. My email address is: pink bunnies @ sbc global . net (just remove the spaces). The “pink bunnies” part has to do with fighting off the pink bunnies which attack my life and sanity. Funny story how it all came to be, I’ll share it with you sometime ;-}       I gotta go, the kids just came in the door and I ‘guess’ we’re headed out to ….. at thsi age, Mom’s often the last to know. They had talked it over with dad ….  not compaining, just find it humerous!!!Cheryl B.http://thebzhousethatlovebuilt.blogspot.com
