a prized possession

Most of you know that I am a collector of fiestaware.

Last year I bought a set of mixing bowls in a gorgeous new color, Marigold.

There are three of them in graduating sizes.

I use the bowls almost every single day.  Just this morning, Ethan and I mixed up waffles in one.

I hope that I can manage to keep them all from cracking or breaking in the years to come.

Because I want (to mix up cookies for) the grandchildren in them!

  1. Cute little muffin in your mixing bowl! How fun. I know you are making memories with those bowls. I remember my mom’s mixing bowl…and it was just white!

  2. Oh, YES! Doesn’t the idea of GRANDCHILDREN just enthrall you?! That prospect just hit me for the first time the other day and I felt sooo excited at the mere thought of it! These pictures are just too cute! Seth is sweeter than any batch of cookies!

  3. Oh my goodness! How adorable!! Must make you love Fiesta Ware a million times more than you used to!He’s getting so big and looks so alert!! So precious!

  4. You are hilarious!!!  Can I get one of those if I buy Mariogold mixing bowls?!  I still love the light green color the best.
Shanda Banda do they chip easily?  Can you put the plates in the dishwasher?  I REALLY want to find a set of every day plates, steve and I own, and I am not even kidding, three dinner plates from 14 yrs ago when we were first married, how sad is that?  When Guests come I have to bring out the good china because there is NOTHING else.  The problem is I cannot make up my mind on what I want to use every day.  The kids eat out of kids plates.  I think for us I have finally decided white, just white, and would go with Fiesta but I am worried that it is too heavy for every day, what do you think?
Seth is getting more cute with every post, is that even possible?

  5. I’m giggling over Seth in the bowl…how cute!  I was telling Lea Ann I may have to start collecting some FW now because of that delightful shade of blue Bridgette got.  I may have to convert. 😀  I hope you’re having a lovely day!

  6. Move over, Anne Geddis! That is the cutest thing I’ve seen since the last time I visited your blog. 🙂 I can’t get over how fast babies change at that age. 🙂

  7. I too collect fiestaware. Where did you get the set of bowls? Did you ever find out where the green heart-shapped fiesta dish came from? Love the pictures of little Seth, he’s so adorable!!
