Thanks so much for all your heart warming congratulations!  Things are going well and I am enjoying the bliss of admiring and taking care of my very own newborn baby.  Rich will be home with me for the rest of the week and is doing a great job taking care of everything so I can rest as much as I need to.  The children are attentive to Seth and love to observe all the little things (“His eyes are open!”) that seem so miraculous and special in these early days.

Rich and I live too far away for most of our family to visit easily, so this blog is a wonderful way for our long distance family members (Seth’s grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins) to actually SEE Seth while he’s still little, and just two days after his birth.  All of these pictures, in fact, were taken today (except the first two).  Instant communication is amazing!

I’m continually amazed, and humbled, by all of my friends around the world who I have met through my blog.  You have embraced me and my family, and have not only prayed for us, but treated us with such warm and kind words of love.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Seth truly is a blessing from above, and I marvel……absolutely marvel, at this new son of mine.

  1. He is so precious!!! What a beautiful family God has blessed you with. I am so glad everything went well and all is well at home…so nice of your husband to let you get the rest you need….Have a great rest of the week…

  2. Ok, I am still marveling at the fact that you are at home and fully DRESSED!! Just two days after giving birth? Call me old fashioned, but shouldn’t you be in bed? lol   Beautiful boy.  Beautiful, beautiful boy.

  3. Just came by to see that cute little bitty face again! I love babies!! My oldest son teased me about that one day…I told him that one day he would be very happy that I love babies

  4. He is so cute!!   I think he looks like Rich.   You look wonderful to for just having a baby!   I see he is using his blanket that you all made for him:)   I’m glad everything is going so well.

  5. Love the pictures…Thanks so much for posting them.  My girls were so excited when Rich posted the first picture – they all left the lunch table and ran to the computer to see the picture.  Now they are asking again – when are we going to see/visit them again?  Maybe in the spring?  We will have to see.
So glad to hear that you are both doing well.  I hope your first night home was good.
    Love You!

  6. Ooooh, sweet boy, gentle momma, adoring sister, precious daddy who will teach and love and grow him up to know and love and serve Jesus. What eyes and hands and little feeties. Bless you darling Shanda. hugs again from me

  7. The months went by so fast, now you have the most beautiful little boy!I love the pic of you holding Seth, and Grace looking at him…you can see the love in her eyes…reminds me of when I was almost 4 years old *a month or so away) and I got to hold my little baby brother for the first time…he is now 22, and I know how fast those years have gone…I am so happy to cherish your kids’ milestones and they are growing up before my eyes…Can’t wait to experience things through my childrens’ eyes some day…
