Mother’s Day 2008

DSC_0844

My arms are full.

When I was a school girl I was often asked the question, “What are you going to be when you grow up?”  I always said that I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom.  And look what God did. . ..he gave me the life I always wanted.

I’m just so content.  I just ate a yummy breakfast made for me by my husband, I’m sitting here in my robe, and I’m grinning.  Just like in the photo.

I praise God for the life He has given me.

***********

My mom was a wonderful example to me.  She is the reason why my heart is so content at home, being a wife, and mothering my children.

Happy Mother’s Day

marrow and fatness:
and my mouth shall praise thee
with joyful lips.”  Psalms 63:3-5

  1. Happy Mother’s Day to you, Shanda!  You are so blessed and you are such a good mommy!  Thank you for being such an insipration and encouragement to me!  Have a wonderful day!

  2. Beautiful pictures!! Have the happiest of Mothers Day….may the contentment you have today stay with you through the whole year….even during the yuck days when kids are tracking mud, arguing, refusing to do homework and dinner is burning on the stove- while your trying to get gum out of a little ones hair. **LOL**
    Hugs! Cass

  3. I absolutely LOVE that top picture! The quilts behind and the colors are just wonderful! You are a rich, rich, richly blessed Momma! I hope you have a perfectly splendid day!

  4. Happy Mother’s Day!  A wonderful series of posts….such a blessing.  God is so good in blessing us and blessing our children….HIS ideas are the best!  Love the new header with all those adorable faces.  Love the quilts too….I like quilts.  Kind of like flowers…they are so colorful and cheerful!  Jenny

  5. What a beautiful post!!! Beautiful pictures of beautiful gifts from God ~Isn’t it wonderful having your arms full!!

  6. My arms and heart are full as well. . .I actually got around to posting yesterday instead of just blogging in my head like I usually do. I love your pictures. . .how did you get that header up at the top?? My boys do NOT like to have their pictures taken, so I was fortunate to get the one nice one I got out in front of our flowers. My second son, Nate (age 7), just really hates pictures, but he’s so cute and I keep telling him to get use to it!! Yesterday was bliss, having the day off, enjoying time alone and with the kids having fun. . .now today is back to work—grocery shopping with the little ones, helping the big ones w/homework, baseball game with Sam (9), but I LOVE IT ALL, even the day in and day out stuff of life. . .wouldn’t trade my life for the world. Happy Belated Mother’s Day to you—
