How absolutely BEAUTIFUL, Shanda!! Snow is one of God’s many wonders. I could just hear the silence. Thank you for sharing your time in the woods.I agree with you when you say, “Take time to be…” Reflection is easier when we slow our pace.
Great pics! Thanks for reminding me that snow IS beautiful. LOL! We have blizzard warnings in effect for today. I’m just glad that Ryan’s plane made it in safely!! I love the picture of you in your dark coat with your dark hair. Great contrast with the white forest.
Such beautiful, beautiful snow! And your family enjoys it to the fullest. I don’t know when I have seen a bunch of snow. It never seems to snow much when I get a chance to go north in the winter.
So beautiful….like out of a magical story. So wonderful to see the woods and the soft white snow. Lovely to see the branches all coated and the heaps on rocks…..love you all in your coats enjoying the wonder of God’s creation. We have had some grey days this week….I am fighting some illness so taking it easy and reading, planning next years schooling….I always get those urges this time of year and we still have a lot of this years work to do!
What a beautiful winter wonderland. We just got hit with all that snow as well but being on the coast it has turned to rain, which ruins my photo op *sigh*
I just loaded more pics at my site . . . but they don’t compare to yours. Of course, mine were INDOOR scenery of a birthday party and not a gorgeous snowfall back east. Maybe if it would snow here, I’d be able to post my own breaktaking pictures!!! LOL
When I got on here, the first thought that came into my head was, “Now, THAT is some SNOW!” Ha! It makes the snow we’ve gotten here (which seems like a lot to this gal from the deep-south!) seem miniscule! It IS beautiful, especially those pictures in the forest. And that last picture is super cool – by the bright colored coats, I can recognize your tiny figures across that great distance. Neat picture!Hope you’re having a great weekend. I’ve been fighting a bad “bug” this week but think I am coming out of it…
Wow! You guys sure did get alot of snow. I remember when it snowed when I was little I just loved being outside in it, and making snow men,and sledding now that I’m older I can’t stand it.

wow, these are great!! Love the bits of color in the “b&w” photos. So….are these like, today??? I think we got close to 70 today….hard to imagine snow, all though earlier in the week we had a frost…it just changes so quick around here….
Gosh, is that snow you have today?? WOW – we are at 60 today, sunshine and gorgeous! Sadly we rarely get a good snow like that. Great pictures, as always!! Suz
A lovely entry. : )
ryc…Did you see Mike Huckabee on Hannity and Colmes by any chance? He did well! : ) Yes it tickles and disheartens us at the same time as we watch the biased media and the way they blatantly want so badly to ignore Mike Huckabee hoping that he will go away. ; )
Our two oldest daughters were able to see him in person again last night. It was wonderful! Pics and video to come!
Blessings, ~Amelia
Beautiful pictures — let’s give all this snow to those people who post on your site and never get any!! They want snow; we want sun and warmth, flowers and green grass!! Winter is long in upstate New York !!
You are a beautiful lady in that black coat with red underneath!! Very fabulous outfit indeed. And, I agree with a couple of the other ladies when they say that the forest looks like Narnia. Very beautiful!!
I looooove the quote at the beginning of the post. I think I will have to write it somewhere, maybe embroider it on a pillow π We got 10 inches today! It is really beautiful =) I think this should be the last storm of the season though…lol
ahhhh. I am IN LOVE with your winter wonderland!! Can I come and stay a while and walk through the ‘narnia world’ (as Jo so eloquently put it) with you and a warm bran muffin? Afterwards we could curl up with a cup of chai or good coffee. Maybe I’ll even bring Jo with me!!
What a beautiful scene — I hope it was as beautiful in person, with the b/w snowy forest and the colorful coats! Looks cold, though — I do hope it’s not as frigid as it was!
Thank you for sharing your time of ‘just being’ with us! Awesome photos! I so wish I could have been there … the snow, and surroundings, are absolutely beautiful … and a bran muffin wouldn’t have been half bad with snowflakes on it! Have a wonderful Son-day!Blessings,~ Deborah <><P.S. I’m one of those people who post on their sites that never get any snow! Well, maybe a dusting, or two … we used to get tons, but not anymore … and unfortunately, I happen to adore the white stuff!
Breathtakingly beautiful! Yesterday I opened my windows to get a little taste of the 70 degree air. It was heavenly. We have snow again in the forecast. How strange.
Oh wow!! Your very own winter wonderland! It’s beautiful, like a dream. It is supposed to be cold here tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, friend.
So weird…it’s 70 here today! It’s supposed to snow on Monday, though! Crazy!! Check out my latest post!!!

I love those patches of color in the mostly black and white of the snow and trees. I came back to your site just to look at them again.

Once again you have opened my eyes and my heart to the beauty around me. Your pictures of Weston are also very sweet, how precious. Enjoy this day.
Beautiful.

It was/is pretty. But I must admit I am becoming winter-weary. You look like you had a lot of fun. I’m sure the kids enjoyed it.
