I’m still not feeling well. I do hope that soon I will have more energy. The weather was so nice yesterday that I did go out and drink my coffee by the side of the stream.
Spent the majority of the rest of the day on the couch.
My spirits have been low, but I am leaning on Christ at this time (and all times), knowing that my body needs rest and time to heal from the stress and busyness of the holidays and being sick.
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring. Is. 44:3
Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. Is. 12:3
“Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of HIM, and he would have given thee living water.”
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38
And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in droughts, and make fat thy bones: and thou shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. Is. 58:11
It’s been so warm that the ponds have water on top, I thought it was so pretty how the wind was making ripples in the water.
I thought the underside of this tree fungus so lovely–the design and the color–
some red in my pocket. . .to take back home with me

Later on in the day, I tried out my new tripod:
“Oft I tell Him I am weary, and I fain would be at rest;
That I’m daily, hourly, longing to repose upon His breast;
And He answers me so kindly, in the tenderest tones of love,
I am coming soon to take thee to my happy home above.”
Hope your feeling better soon!
Try taking extra vitamins. My mom once told me if I felt a cold coming on to double up on my vitamins. It seems to work.
Love your pictures! One of my absolute favorite things to do is sit by a stream. I love to watch the water and listen to it trickle, so peaceful!
hugs
Sorry you’re still feeling yucky. I’m trying to fight off the worst of mine, but it feels like I’m losing so far. The pictures are beautiful. I love the first, one you can just see the movement of the water.
Awww sweetie, I am sorry you aren’t feeling back to yourself yet. Hugs. Your pictures are so beautiful and peaceful. I love seeing God’s creation through your camera lens. Beautiful. Feel better soon and get lots of restMelody
Oh, I do pray that you will regain all of your strength soon! I have been extreemly worn out also from all of the extra work that I have been doing. It’s so hard, but we must lean on God for strength and trust that he “will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground.” (the pictures of the water are so lovely… it must be beautiful out at your home even in the middle of winter)
I LOVE the tree fungus picture!
We are all finally getting over our colds – however Meghan has been complaining of some pretty bad headaches the last day or so…I’m not sure what that is about. Meg’s headaches get so bad that she just wants to sit and cry – so you know they must hurt. Right now Advil seems to be helping. We will see. Meg and Marissa just had their physicals yesterday. Meg didn’t have a problem with headaches until yesterday afternoon…so we didn’t even bring it up at the appointment. Marissa had an ear infection…although I was a little surprised since she had been acting fine. Other than that the girls checked out ok.
I hope you are feeling better soon…I know how much we both love creeks. We had so much fun playing in the ones around “the hill”.
Love You!
I’m sorry you have been sick. There are some nasty bugs going around lately. I hope you feel better really soon. Garlic is my immune system’s dear friend. It seems to really help keep the bugs at bay and if I do get a bug, it helps me get over it faster. I usually don’t get as sick as I used to since I have it in my daily diet. I’m praying for you that you will be strengthened and well very soon!
The pictures are lovely!!! You live on such beautiful property. It’s a photographer’s dream!!! :):):)
Have a blessed and restful day of strengthening,
gentle (((((hugs)))))

Hey Shanda-Yes, please just continue to rest even though you want to probably get around and so something. I am praying for you. I would to have your stream by my house! The sound of a running stream, soothes me. I am going to go take a nap now, you better do the same! π
physical weariness can drain the soul. Let yours be full of Christ and He will carry you through. I know you are looking to Him. Thanks for bringing us along on your walk – it was lovely!

Feel better soon.
I hope God speeds your recovery from this flu/cold. I have enjoyed your last couple posts. I always enjoy looking at your photo’s and seeing what words/scripture you tie in with them. Miss you, love you, Elisha
Beautiful pictures. I love the one of the tree fungus. Be blessed and I hope you soon feel better.
Those scriptures with your photos provided a peaceful respite before I jump into the demands of my day. Thank you!Health, comfort and strength are being prayed for you today!
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring. Is. 44:3
This really spoke to me!!
I’m sorry you’re still not feeling well…we’ve all been fighting illness in our house too. Fortunately, it hasn’t gotten me to bad off…just a few sniffles. As much as I hate to see the kids sick it’s always a blessing if I don’t get it. How can I take care of them AND me?
I feel so rested now from looking at your lovely photos and the verses you chose
I’m right where you’re at….sick/recovering from the flu and the holidays….still ach-ey and taking tylenol. Love that last pic of you with your son…you’re beautiful even when you don’t feel well…. Thanks for the day-brighteners you always provide on your site.
