  1. It really is so wonderful that your kids have so much room to roam. I also grew up in the country and we would go far and wide. My mom never worried much about us. My girls grew up in the city, and there were always rules about crossing streets and not talking to strangers and all that. They rarely went sledding, and the rode their bikes on sidewalks instead of hiking in the woods. I love seeing the pictures of your kids having fun!

  2. Such fun! Love the pictures. We have found quite a few treasures by the side of the road, too. Oh, the stories our house could tell…
By the way, thanks for the hair tip. Abby’s curls are often crazy, so we use detangler spray. I’ll have to try the water!
Happy belated New Year! I’ll be back to read your older entries later. πŸ™‚

  3. That brings back so many memories…playing in the snow for hours and not caring about being cold and wet and tired! Wow, I miss those days at times! That looks like so much fun. We get to watch the snow fall…but it never sticks and stays around! How lucky for your kids to play in the snow….your a good mom….I fear that even if we did have snow I would have a hard time letting my kids spend much time in it! πŸ™‚

  4. Oh wow, Shan.  I really need to come over LOL that looks like so much fun.  I love the pictures, the delight on their faces is just awesome.  I hope you had a good night, I’ll give you a call tomorrow.  Love, Trish

  5. I love these photos!  They would be so fun to scrapbook!  I also loved your two previous post about the thoughts on peace in the home and NEWness.  Thank you for sharing Shan!

  6. Great Pic’s….as always. πŸ™‚ Your picture sequences always tell a story, and I love that! You whole blog always exudes a feeling of deep contentment.
