If I didn’t have 4 energetic children I would not have cold toes right now.

I’ve been outside on the porch watching the four of them play PLAY PLAY in the snow.  Did you know, if you really try, you can make snowballs and go sledding and make a snowfort in just a half inch layer of snow?

They also made a whole choir of snow angels.

Grace laughed to herself once and I said, “What’s so funny, Grace?” and she said, “I just put 2 snowballs together, see?”

When she looked at her creation, SHE LAUGHED.

And I wonder, how I can ever be sad and run down when I have so much inspiration in these children that God gave me?

18 month old Caleb, the only one who did not go out, was inside watching “Kipper”.  I looked in the window at him and he was so cute that I knocked on the window to get his attention.

He didn’t move his eyes away from Kipper.  Not once.  I knocked and knocked and tapped and called his name.

I love my children.

Also, I am feeling somewhat better.

God’s perfect love to you all.  Have a wonderful evening!

  1. Hello Shanda Dear! It was wonderful to scroll through your posts and see all the delightful pics and recipes and quotes!  What a great inspiration you are! Children truly are to be enjoyed… I am so thankful you have those wonderful moments of enjoying them. I am concerned about your stress- I have seen it in some people close to me. Walk closely with the Lord and He will get you through it. Spend a day with a good friend… that always helps, too.
    God’s grace to you.

  2. I love snow and am missing it so far!!! I remember playing in a light snowfall like that.
It is normal that if tou would enjoy life so much that you woul then come down…I LIKE TO USE THE VERSE
2 CORINTHIANS 10:5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ   http://bible.cc/2_corinthians/10-5.htm
http://www.lolc.org/messages/2_cor_10_3-5.pdf …THIS WAS A GOOD COMMENTARY ON THAT VERSE

  3. YES!!!  Tomorrow my kiddos are home ALL day we have no where to go! We are going to play in the snow to our hearts content!
Yes, children are such a pure, rich blessing from God but they do wear you out too.  Give yourself some GRACE and if your body says rest, rest.  Glad to hear you have a clean bill of health from your dr. Great news!  Also, glad today is better.  Tomorrow will be even better!

  4. I have a junior in high school and a freshman in college.  Once when they were toddlers I was with (just) the two of them at the grocery store waiting in line to check out.  They were being inpatient etc and I’m sure it showed on my face that I just wanted to get home.  Some old lady behind me in line said to me, “Enjoy them now honey because they will grow up before you know it.”  At that moment I was feeling so frazzled I thought to myself that it had been a long time since that old lady had to deal with toddlers.  Now though I know she was right.

  5. I’m glad to hear that you are feeling better. I can relate to the chest pains. I was going through some “stuff” and was having bad chest pains. It was definitely stress/anxiety related. My Dr. had offered meds, however, I wound up not taking him up on it, but I wouldn’t have hesitated if I felt it had come to that. Please feel secure in the knowledge that the Comforter will be there giving you peace that surpasses all understanding.Blessings,~Nadine~

  6. I’m so glad you had a nice time with the kids outside tonight.  I want to take mine out tomorrow, if the snow is still there.  I went out and took some pictures tonight, so hopefully they’ll come out nice.  Anyway, I’m glad you went to the doctor’s and I’m glad you’re feeling better.  I know that heavy chest feeling so very well, and mine was attributed to anxiety.  I love you, dear, and I hope to see you soon.  *hugs* Love, Trish

  7. You’re my hero, I was only brave enough to have one child (Brianna cried the 1st two years of her life)…and now I’m lonely cause she’s spreading her wings. Enjoy the laughter, ask God for strenght and patience…. the time does fly by so fast

  8. so glad you are feeling better and you are healthy.  Sounds like you had a fun day and the kids too!  We are starting to get some of that white stuff now-finally.  It’s suppose to snow the next 7 days.
    Take care
