she sent, he sent

I went on a walk the other day and texted my brother a cool catterpillar I had just found. It had a red body and black bristles.

He agreed that it was cool and then sent me this photo of a pair of sneakers he had just been looking at online.

Can you even????

  1. I like to hear about your relationship w/ your bros. I guess people have always copied God’s design in nature, haven’t we? So interesting that it happened at the same time. Sarah

    • Exactly, friend!! Brightens our days for sure. Our David is getting his first phone and we can’t wait to add him to our family group chat, which we enjoy daily.

  3. I think there is a term for this – biomimicry or biomimetics where designs are inspired by the natural world. There are lots of examples but probably the most famous is velcro (hook and loop tape) which was inspired by the bur of the burdock plant.

  4. How are you? This is the only place I hear about you (not on facebook or instagram. I hope you are well and the family is just really busy! Sarah

  5. I’m Shandas Brother Dave. Just to let everyone know, Shanda is doing great. She’s taking a break from posting but do not worry, she will be back. I told her about everyone asking about her and missing her and she was very appreciative. Keep her in your prayers and thank you for your kind words. I will pass along any words of encouragement.

  6. Thank you so much for posting for her! Her fans are concerned πŸ™‚ I will turn that worry into prayer. She is such an inspiration to me to simply enjoy my blessed life and family and home, even in it’s mess.
