last night’s moon

my flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is my portion forever

Last night we were driving home from a little league game when I noticed the moon was a beautiful sliver in the sky, thin and barely noticable and I loved it.

Anything that pulls me out of my thoughts and into the present moment is a good thing, and nature always does this for me.

“Let’s trust God and see what He has for us.  He loves us more than we can imagine and He will give us strength no matter how things go.”  ~notes from my scrapbook

you are loved.

  1. I loved what you wrote about trusting God, it is so important when we don’t understand the present. I needed to hear that today and you reminded me of the Lord’s care for his children. Thank you!

  2. Been too long since I’ve been here, Shanda … this is a beautiful post! The note from your scrapbook really spoke to my heart! I, too, needed to be reminded of His love and ever present care! This past year has been quite difficult for our family, but out of the midst of those difficulties God has blessed us with a most precious little grandson, Ezekiel, whom we are caring for full time. He’s 9 months now and has brought so much joy to our home and our hearts! My, how a baby changes things!! Oh yes, the days have their challenges but our Father is ever faithful and walks with us through them every step of the way! I’ve missed reading here and hope to be checking in more often as time allows … as you can imagine, these days my schedule is not my own! Be blessed my friend! 🙂

    • Debi, it’s so so good to hear from you! I’m sorry to hear about your difficult year, if only I had known I would have been praying for you. But I am so glad that you have a new little grandson and that he’s been a joy for your home. Yes, a baby changes everything! I’m’ so thankful for a caring heavenly Father and that you stopped by here today and said hello. God bless you! Love, Shanda
