sarah and mama duet…piano and recorder

This is the most precious and adorable thing.  Sarah has been getting the recorder and playing along with me as I play hymns from the hymnbook.  I know without a doubt God loves it, too.  He loves Sarah and He loves a joyful “noise”……and I can’t help but smile big when I listen to her play.  I’m sure you won’t believe this but she’s never even had a music lesson!  And she’s only five years old!

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
Refrain:
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

  1. Amazing! While I was listening I kept hearing someone signing the words and that very song was playing on our spotify. You think they could tell what I was listening to?? 🙂

  2. Could we with ink the ocean fill,
    And were the skies of parchment made,
    Were every stalk on earth a quill,
    And every man a scribe by trade;
    To write the love of God above
    Would drain the ocean dry;
    Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
    Though stretched from sky to sky.

    How wonderful — Mother and daughter sharing a great hymn of the faith!! I love this hymn and am always in awe as we sing the verse above. Sarah is
    blessed having her Mama teach her these great songs! Keep up the good work Mama and Sarah!!

  3. You have a very talented musical family! Precious look on her face at the end 🙂 Oh goodness it appears I have to wait a bit for the update. My kids’ driving is still something I pray about and they are 25 and 27! I know I don’t always comment .. mostly because I don’t blog much and am too lazy to sign in, but I really enjoy reading your blog and I think it is a blessing to many.
