In the past, Sarah went flying off the end of the slide one too many times, landing in a heap. She got tired of it and decided not to go down slides again, it was way too scary. It’s been months and months of playground play without sliding….until this weekend.
I’m so proud of her. She finally got brave enough to go. Once she did it, she wouldn’t stop; up and down, over and over, saying “weeeeeeeeeee”. It made me smile every time. Watching her was also a nice little reminder to not let fear stop me from living a full and happy life.

Her hair is so cute. How fun to see her overcome and enjoy so much. Our Nick didn’t want to ride a bike for awhile so he would just run…he became VERY fast. So good to encourage them, but let them take it as they are ready.
yay sarah!!
I like that lost thought you posted about feeding your faith.
This is perfect timing! Sarah is adorable and brave now and the photos are adorable and all that….but it’s the courage and the fear quotes that got the tears rolling in the rims of my eyes. Jesus just used you to touch a nerve and remind me that I’ve still been way too fearful. Thank you!
@Richgem – I just said a prayer for you. ((hugs)) You are not alone in this….I’ve been there too often. Jesus is the victory!
So so so true!!! I love the quotes you paired with this post. Give that halfling a big high five from us!!!
Love the static hair! And those are some great quotes!
How cute, love the picture where she has a big smile and bigger static ! Give her a high-five for me !
her sticking-up hair as she flies down the slide is adorable ~
I also like the phot of her hair flying as she flew down the slide. What a great lesson to all of us in conquering our fears.
Love the last quote. I have it written on a notecard on my reading table π fear has often ruled my decisions. I’m working on that π
