  1. hi shanda…….always a treat to hear from you as well!  thanks for taking the time to blog for all of us to enjoy.  “time is the most valuable thing a person can spend.”

  2. I like you idea of writing a book of the Bible. I remember things best when I write them. That is a pile of socks! Thankful for all the toesies that fill them The picture with Sarah holding her baby is so sweet. Love seeing you and “Yours” too. Lord bless your day Shanda. We are off to check the garden and see a new puppy our friends just got.

  3. great pics! you look so happy and pretty in the one of just you. on the sock topic…I visit elderly people for my job. One of them shared this story of how they dealt with socks while laundering for a large family… I thought her tip was quite clever. A little time consuming initially but worth it in the end. Anyways, she would have her kids safety pin the two socks together before they put them in the wash. that way they came out still together. Again, might be a lot of work for the little ones but thought I’d pass that tip along. I just love stories from the wise older folks and esp. stories about how they homesteaded. blessings!

  4. Your sock piles made me laugh! I always like I have accomplished something when each and every sock I washed has a mate in the end. LOLI wrote out the book of James once. Great experience. (I don’t think it is nearly as long as John though.) Blessings dear friend.

  5. Love this. 🙂 Caleb’s smirk is adorable! Your cursive is SO pretty. And that plate is totally adorable! Did you get all of those socks done?! That’s a ton!Have a great day!

  6. You’re writing out the entire book of John? That is very interesting. Could you share a bit more about what led you to want to do that? How long do you think it will take? I have contemplated writing out Proverbs 31 several times.
