  1. I’m sorry that little Sarah is under the weather, but other than that, this is a most positive, heart warming post, and it made me cry. So poignant, so tender, so full of family memories. God bless you, Shanda, and your sweet family.

  2. So exciting that you get to go cut the tree down!! What a beautiful day, picking out the tree and bringing it home. Hope Sarah feels better, she is cute as can be in that darling red dress. You are very cute too in both your outfits…you have a great fashion sense and look wonderful in what you pick out Shanda! Love seeing all the family in these photos. Wonderful Christmas time! Our tree was cut down in Oregon and brought fresh a day later courtesy of Costco Smells wonderful!

  3. Shanda, All the pictures came out perfect! Loved Sarah’s little pink hat. That is sooo adorable! And the one in front of the tree with her little Christmas dress on. Too cute!! Are you baking cookies this year? I decided this year I would only bake one or two cookies. One new recipe and one old favorite. Less stressful and more fun. Of course the kiddos are begging me to make my Cinnamon Bread that we hand out to our neighbors. They love it! Wish I could send you a loaf or two to gobble up~LMerry Christmas~ Cinnamon

  4. Thinking of you often as I go through my own busy days. Praying that the joy will outshine the heaviness, and that God will redeem the shadows.I loved these pictures!!Sarah

  5. Hugs Shanda. Your tree looks lovely. The question being…do you go through and spread the ornaments out when the kids are done? We had a few branches that looked like that, but my husband fixed them. They are so anxious in their joy. I hope that Sarah feels better today.

  6. I’m glad your little one found that they are still making Christmas trees out of wood!! πŸ™‚ That was sooo cute. ;DWhat a great day together….and I love their “Favorite Branch” on the tree. LOL. I must know where you found the skirt your wearing in the last picture….it looks soooo comfy! πŸ™‚

  7. Great great post!!!! Is Jacob actually taller than Rich? How can that be?! It seems like JUST yesterday… I love your church outft with the ruffled chirt and matching skirt it looks equally comfy and cool!  The picture that made me laugh the most was the favored branch drooping with the weight of all the ornaments..hilarious!
