already in a frame

If you’re alone, I’ll be your shadow.
If you want to cry, I’ll be your shoulder.
If you want a hug, I’ll be your pillow.
If you need to be happy, I’ll be your smile.
But anytime you need a friend, I’ll just be me.

We spent hours at their house today.

And today, I’m just thanking God over and over for this family.  God perfectly matched us to be best friends with one another.  We’ve been doing stuff together for over 10 years.  There are hundreds of sweet memories.

(missing from photo:  Bethany, age 2, Seth and Sarah’s bestie).

Kathy and I had the greatest time watching them all play.  Poor Tristan and Kevin got stung by bees.  David and Emily sat right next to each other on the couch to watch a show.  So comfy.  Seth and Beth had spats and went skinny dipping (you can do that when you’re two.)   Sarah started a few arguements by saying “mine” when toys were taken from her.  The older ones played catch, volleyball, and jumped on the trampoline.  The pool died and poured out all over the lawn (it was a big huge blow up one).

As soon as we got home one of my children printed out this photo and had me put it in a frame.  That’s how much we love these people!

  1. Marvelous! The best. Did I tell you this before? Daniel once said, “Mom, you should just keep making good friends, all the good ones are your friends too”.

  2. You are so right God is so Good to us knowing just the right friends we will enjoy and that our children will be encouraged by. I have such a friend she lives in CA and since I have moved here to Mo it has been difficult. We did so many fun things together like meeting for berry picking down her road, taking a hike when the lupines were in their glory, or just sharing a p and j while the children made corn husk dolls. We shared the everyday of homeschooling and loving our husbands. I remember it so well, I think my favorite thing about being together was the simplicity of sharing, it was always uplifting and we took home many things to keep the days exciting in between times. It was like Holy times I realize now that Jesus most have been their to make it so and He was.Blessings Christie
