Lots going on here, lots of plans and preparations; end of summer stuff.
I like being busy, it’s just that I’m so tired! ![]()
I can’t believe it’s August, 2011!
The children are growing so fast….sunshine and love does that, you know.
There is so much to be thankful for. Health, smiles, fresh air.
Here are some of God’s little creatures that make no fuss to be noticed.
But if you do happen to notice them, it’s a delight.
Did you ever see the amazing neon colors of the dragonfly? I used to think that God didn’t have a hand in creating NEON, but I’ve since learned (from the dragonfly and the shine on bubbles) that He most certainly did!
I like to see the flying things attracted to my gardens. Moths, butterflies, bees…….
Drops of rain on the flowers.
Discovering a new-to-me moth;
A pretty baby at dusk.
Blessings to you as you enjoy this new month!

I know. I can’t believe it’s August either. Time goes so quickly. I Love summer so much, but I am sort of secretly for fall to be on it’s way. The apple orchard, cinnamon donuts, baking, apple pie candles, colored trees….ahhhhh.Ok, Ok…enough Liz! Flip flops, tomatoes in the garden, kids in the pool, lemonade, fresh flowers….Contenment! lolLittle Sarah looks so cute in her ruffles!Enjoy your Tuesday. =)

I just got home from Cubscout camp with my son Gideon….and ate about 6 pickle spears!!! FABULOUS recipe and I can see how they don’t last long! 🙂 Thank you for sharing
Such a sweet glimpse of summer days. You bring the joys of childhood to mind. I always loved the little butterflies and used to cup them in my hands as a child. Seth in goggles…so cute! Both girls look so pretty in their raspberry colored clothing. Summer is going too fast for me, yet I am counting the days til Malachi gets here on the 12th!
Yes blessing to you sweety! Great photo’s. For me summer is flying by. I still have lots of things I want to do this summer but I’ll see how many of the things I get to do as each day of August goes on by. With working it is hard to get everything in but I’ll just take one day at a time and enjoy what each day brings!I love your comment about God and neon! Growing up in the prairies we had so many dragon flies and I still remember their dazzeling neon colors! 🙂
LOVE Sarah’s dress!
I am thoroughly enjoying following you! I made the pickles you posted about just a little ago. They are a definite favorite and huge hit in the house! I was wondering is there a way to can them so I don’t have to store them in the fridge until eating time? We really did like them that much! Thanks so much for sharing that recipe! Hope to hear from you soon!
Love the butterfly picture : ). Thinking of you this evening as we pack up to leave my grandmother’s house. I took some pictures especially for you. Someday I hope to get them posted.
We had the same moth and Steve looked it up for the kids it is called a hummingbird moth. It is so fascinating to watch isn’t it? Sethers looks so different with the goggles on I almost did not know who he was!
Hello dear Shanda, I hear one of my favorite people is going to be visiting you this fall! I can’t wait to see the pictures of you two together! As always, love seeing your sweet family photos and what’s happening in your “neck of the woods”
