{two moments}

This week has been FULL of especially precious moments for me.  I will share the two I actually got pictures of.  Both of these were taken with my iphone.

This has been a busy week of VBS.  One night, I was able to leave early with Seth and Sarah, and let Rich stay to bring the other children home.  I was distracted all the way by a gorgeous sunset; it was so beautiful to me at the end of a busy day that I pulled into a parking lot to take a picture of it.

Imagine what the sky will look like when Jesus someday appears!

beautiful sunset

I had to take this next picture last night, for Rich.  He is away on a business trip and I knew he would like to see the children around the dinner table.

Oh how we love eating together, laughing and talking over a good meal.  It’s always chaotic, but I know that it will be missed terribly when the day arrives that they are grown and gone………

dinnertime!

I would just love it if you would  maybe *pretty please* share a special little moment from your week, for us all to read and smile over, in the comments section.

  1. I love it that my son in law in N. Ireland takes pictures of my sweet granddaughter, and sends them to me as messages! I get to see what she is doing, even though she is far away.

  2. I took my 9 yr old grand-daughter to see the new Winnie the Pooh movie. We ate popcorn and drank flavored water. They even showed a short cartoon before the main movie started, just like in the old days.

  3. Gotta love special moments! Your dinner time together looks like such a wonderful time! So good to see that families still sit down and eat together. I am just running off to work so can’t post till later. Not sure if it’ll be a special moment when I do but sure enjoyed reading your hun!{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}

  4. Our weather has been very dry. Last evening while it rained, I splurged & enjoyed a leisurely swing ride on our spacious porch  –  on the third anniversary of my mother’s death, using the same swing on which my parents had courted!

  5. Hey Shan!Glad you got the pkg!So fun to surprise you.Today we are doing birthdays for two of our local grandgirlies.Have a look at the blog. Cake pics there.One is a PIG!Not a hippo…:)Have a good weekend.Hope the hubs gets home safely.Hey to all the kiddos! D ox

  6. Watching my son and his play date (my best friend’s daughter) be super cuddly while waiting for their moms to quit jabbering and get on with some fun, haha. They were so precious hugging each other, just because!

  7. Wednesday evening- riding to church in the ranger (a 6-wheeled atv) and taking the “long” way. Through the cool, green, fern-filled woods. Alongside the river, where abundant fireweed created sweeping vistas of pink.

  8. Moments:1. My kids accomplished it.. they learned to ride their bikes..both kids are riding all over the back yard by themselves!2. Making my famous Mocha chocolate cheesecake for the Berrey family.. missionaries to the Philippines. They leave from furlough in the U.S. and back to their Mission field next Wed. We had great fellowship with them and watching my friend Laura enjoy the cake as she won’t have any probably for 3 years! Also watching 14 kids around the same age play together, my 5, my friend’s 5, and Laura’s 4 kids.. they were just too fun to watch all together! 🙂 3. Getting a full nights sleep WITHOUT any interruptions last night… it has been a LONG time!!!

  9. I love your “moments” you’ve shown us here. The first one has such tranquility, while your family table time has a warmth that I so long for. A moment of mine was having a long overdue conversation on the phone with my mom, who is 1300 miles away, and after the phone call was over, I stood outside while rain misted down on me through a canopy of tree limbs and leaves.

  10. Thanks for sharing your special moments with us!!I had one today with my husband and son. DS doesn’t live at home anymore, and he had today off from work. It was my Friday off as well, and DH was working at home. We called DS to see if he wanted to go to lunch with us. He said yes (free food – parents paying)! LOL It was a new place DH and I had tried previously and thought DS would like it. It was a bit of a drive, 45 minutes or so – by the time we made it back home, we had about 3 hours together, just DS and the two of us. It was wonderful. A great time to catch up with each other.

  11. The Lord does show His splendor in the sky, doesn’t He?! Love the crew around the table. My moment was today when David looked at me at the Chiropractors office and said, “why are you sitting way over there?”. Nice to be loved. He has been so sick this week, I felt like a mom bringing him soup, Popsicles, and meds.

  12. Hey! New to xanga and I am enjoying your site! Beautiful family! My moment would have to be watching my 21 month old “learn” how to eat jello with her spoon. She finally decided it was MUCH to wiggly to get from the spoon to the mouth so she ditched the spoon and dove in with both hands. Defintely a mess to clean but was worth every single bit of cleaning! Have a blessed day!

  13. My special moment this week is …..Alaina went ALL day yesterday on the POTTY! The sunset is breathtaking,and your table looks just like mine at dinner…only you have one more lol. 😉

  14. We had a lovely family day together where we went snow ski-ing. Had a lot of fun and the first time we ski-ied together as a family.Great memories.
