she walks

Our baby, Sarah, is now 13 months old and has just learned a new skill.  Not only can she say some words: “mama, up, down, hi” but, after months of practicing, she can finally take independent steps.  In fact, she can walk clear across the room.

She has things to say and places to go.  She’s getting faster and faster, ’cause all she wants to do now, is walk.

Watching a baby learn to walk never gets old.  Rich and I delight in her.  We all do.

These two videos were taken out on the porch on July 4th.  The birds are singing…….it’s that time of night when they seem a little louder, as they get ready to settle down for the night.

Her tiny little legs get me.  Babies sure grow up and change so very quickly.  I’m so thankful for this sweet girl.

Her dirty feet hurt me.  She’s W A L K I N G!

  4. hi shanda…….sarah is so cute with her giggling!  i’m sure it’s a bit bittersweet for you, though, watching your “baby” walk.  they change so quickly in those early years.  and BTW…..i looked up the blue dress on page 56 in the magazine- super cute!  rich picked that out all on his own?  so thoughtful.  he’s definitely a keeper.  but you already know that!!
