I’m having way too much fun sewing baby bibs.
I made Seth one out of thick blue flannel decorated with cowboys, and horses. I cut the fabric so that horses would be centered in the middle.

I have made Sarah two bibs. The first one is a green leafy fabric, on an off-white background.
We have already used this one, it came out of the washer and dryer just fine—no ironing necessary.

The bibs end up being nice and big, thick with two layers of fabric, and tied behind the neck with a big bow. What I like the best is the way the fabric draps over the shoulders like a little backwards cape.

they are so adorable and practical! two of my favorite things with kids!!!and your babies look sweet all smiley like that. and big. sorry. just had to say that too. :)Happy Bib Making!
@down_onthefarm – Seth will be 2 in a just a few days and Sarah is 8 months old. They are getting big, it’s sad, but I forgive you for noticing. LOL Happy Weekending to you!
🙂
You remind me that I need to make more bibs for my littles. On the list for next week!Yours are very cute.I used a similar fabric to applique stars on my 4yo grandson’s cowboy vest ( made for Christmas ). {Actually, I started with a cowboy shirt and hated how it was turning out so I went to plan B — the vest} He is all about horses and cowboys. He asked his mother for a neckerchief the other day. I need to pick up some bandannas for him. Such a small thing to make him smile.Hope you are having a nice weekend, Shanda.xo
Very cute!
So cute! My daughter has now learned how to take off her bibs whether velcro or over the head elastic ones. Maybe if I had ones that tied. Yours are super cute!
You did a good job on the bibs! Did you have a patern or make up your own?
hi shanda…….great job on the bibs! and your models are just too cute, don’t you think?!
These are so cute. I like the material on Seth’s Bib. It looks really retro – 1950’s -ish. I like the way they cover so much area. I also want to know if you have a pattern. My niece is getting ready to have a baby and it would be a nice gift that I could make with beginning sewing skills. They look pretty easy. 🙂
How cute — and they’re nice and big too!
Such cute bibs you made. Aren’t they great, liking how they really cover them and, contain the mess babies make when eating. Fun materials too. Your two are looking like happy models!
Shanda, Oh my those are sooo CUTE!!!!! I love them! Is there a pattern to share?Great job on both~ Cinnamon
Yes those bibs looks amazing! I too like how the come over the shoulders at the back. Well done. Are you the designer of these lovely bibs?
aww! how cute are those! my mom still has the bibs she made for us as kids and uses them on the grandkids now…someday, that will be you!! =) and, now, she also makes them for my kids, and since the miles that separate us are HUGE, i like thinking of my mom whenever i use bibs on my little guy…it really is a keepsake.happy weekend!!
totally adorable!
love theses! awesome idea.
Sometimes I should use a bib for my drinking problem – I spill my pepsi on myself-lol
Those are awesome! They look pretty simple to make, too. You are growing quite talented with your sewing skills; I always love seeing your latest project 🙂
Wait what pattern? How did I miss that detail? That last picture convinced me that I would love to make some too!
