Wait a minute. Wasn’t it just summer? I barely even got to see Fall and now here we are playing in SNOW?!
We have several little boys here who have been eagerly anticipating this day. We woke up to white.
We woke up to white and the pounding of bare feet running through the house, to make announcements.
Ethan, it snowed! Jacob, it snowed! Mom, it snowed!
Grace got up and looked outside, smiled to herself, and said seriously, “I knew it. Last night I just had a FEELING it would snow.”
I told her she should be a weatherwoman.
She and Jacob stayed inside but Ethan, Dave, and Caleb went out right away.
This event just wouldn’t have been as exciting without these precious little ones.

Oh WOW!!! snow already, like you said, Like you said, ” It was just summer!!”
nooooooooooooooooooooo to early for snow lol
I’m glad there’s severe weather changes such as summer straight to snow….otherwise, I’m not sure us moms would notice how quickly time truely flies!!! Enjoy your snowy day. Hot Cocoa, soggy mittens, wet socks and all!!! π
I just had to laugh at the chicken in the snow picture. The expression says, “What is this stuff!?” My kids are anxious for snow too. It was flying around in the air on Friday, but now its warm again and there’s none in the forecast for a while.
We’re supposed to see some snow today, but I’m thinking it might be mostly rain. I’m ready for the white stuff!
love that last look from the chicken π He looks pretty surprised by the white stuff π
I love snow — but I live with someone who comes home at least once every winter saying, “I saw two snowflakes today — and that was one too many!” So I have to be careful about praying for snow and even exclaiming happily when we do get some. So I hug it close to my heart, and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it privately. It feels like something to celebrate between me and my Heavenly Father, and I close my eyes and dance in my heart and thank Him! (But I do commiserate with my husband because I know it isn’t easy for poultry and beef cattle farmers or Plumbing Inspectors when it snows.)
We had some snow too. That poor chicken doesn’t know what to think. Those are some happy boys!
adorable, teh chicken looks so confused!
the Snow is so beautiful! Hard to believe you got it already! The First Snow is always so exciting, especially with kids!
Loved that chicken shot ~ too funny ~ π
the chicken looks soooooooo COLD!!:):)
Love the oversize and miss-matched snow gear. Looks like my crew! Is it my imagination, or is the chicken not as impressed as the children??
Wow!!! My boys would be very jealous…they’re waiting and waiting for snow! Your woods look so pretty. We were supposed to get a little snow Friday, but it just rained instead. Now today it’s 65 and sunny!
Wow! It’s so pretty to look at but not have to deal with. : ) Hope you get a little more fall before the snow really sets in.
We only got sleet here, but Nathanael thought it was snow. He was a little disappointed that he couldn’t go out and sled in it.
I’ve called winter off here this year. π I hope my prediction is as good as Grace’s was. Hope your boys have a great snow day!
the first snow of the season is always so exciting!! Don’t know if I’m quite ready for snow yet myself.
I’m laughing here. My boy said “Cheaters! It’s just November. They’re that far north?”
How wonderful! I miss this sooo much! The chicken made me laugh.Thank you for posting pictures of something I will not see!!! It has been in the upper 80’s here.ick.
Happy snow day! What fun, love Davey holding up the big snow ball. We have a very blustery rainy day here…so seems wintery.
Snow makes me immeasurably happy. It reminds me that though my sins are as scarlet, they shall be whiter than snow.
why is the chicken there?!?! random…… LOL!!!
Beautiful snow pictures!
Great photos of the sudden weather change and the little ones who went out to enjoy it, although Chicken Little seems a bit ohhhhh, chicken?
I too like the chicken picture and your boys really seem to be enjoying themselves — I’m not looking forward to snow — sorry! (-8
I like how the chicken was part of “the precious little ones”. The first picture was the best, the way his hat was so low and how he is holding that stick with pride…gotta love it! No snow here and that is FINE BY ME! π
SNOW DAY! Meanwhile, we get excited when the temp drops below 60
Brrrrrr! I suddenly feel the need to find my sweater! The poor little chicken looks like she is wondering what in the WORLD………?
Great pictures!
Green grass AND snow? Bye bye green grass!Doesn’t your chicken have a muff or snow jacket? Too funny.
WOW!! I agree, it was just Fall. Love the pictures! π I hope you made snow cream to enjoy this occasion! :)Hugs,Lanitha
