Just a quick post, with some pictures of our little baby girl.

*Sarah is 2 months old today*

We are very thankful for her and love her more than words can say.

I love all these pictures.  The first one is what she looks like after a good long meal.  Pure contentment is written all over her face.  Grace took the picture just as she was done nursing.  The next photo is of her sweet smile at me, as I sit and play with the baby and ignore the laundry there in the background.  Next, is her bubbly bath photo.  I use Burt’s Bees baby soap & lotion on her and it smells so yummy.  I love giving my babies a bath and holding them close to warm them up after they’ve been all cleaned, washed, scrubbed, dried, lotioned and dressed again.   And the last picture….She is so cute with that bright happy look on her face and the way she’s holding her tight fist up by her chin.  She looks really beautiful in pink.

Thank you, heavenly Father, for our darling baby girl.

  1. Sarah is so cute and yes, beautiful in pink! When I saw the basket of laundry in the background I remembered this poem…
Cleaning and scrubbing can wait ’till tomorrow, for babies grow up, much to our sorrow. So quiet down cobweb-dust, go to sleep.I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.
    You get it!

  2. She is just darling! We had a reunion with old college friends this week, and it was so fun to hold some brand-new itty-bitties, one of them only one month old and eight pounds! I’d hold them, and look at mine, now both out of the baby stage, and marvel at how the days fly by. Keep ignoring that laundry, the baby won’t keep!

  3. It is such a joy to see you enjoy your children. I wish more mommies were like you, including myself. I need to slow down and savor them while they’re little and still let me hold them! 🙂

  4. Hi Shanda Sorry for not having stopped by in quite awhile. I just read all of your postings back to one I remembered – you had posted it on July 8th(?), it was about the runners in your family. I had tried to stop in for a visit a couple of weeks ago, but Xanga kept telling me that I wasn’t using the correct password. ?!?! became !!! 8-/ !!! I kept racking my brain trying to figure out just exactly what my xanga password had been then …. today I again tried what I had thought it was all along (and tried to use last time) and it worked …. I don’t know ….Thanks for all of the smiles I got while reading your different postings! About making the pickles – vs. – paying $3 for them at the store. Eating something you put effort into making, ALWAYS makes the item taste ever so much better! Plus there is all of the ‘memories’ factor that increase the value of your home canned ones!I posted a recipe for Ice Cream Pie today that I’m really sure you guys would love!!! The bonus part is how easy they are to make!I shall try to visit you on a more frequent basis … and I wrote down my password! ;-pyour friend,Cheryl B.http://thebzhousethatlovebuilt.blogspot.com
