Our new baby has arrived, safe and sound!
Sarah Joy was born on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 9:46 am.
She weighed 7 lbs, 1 oz and was 21 inches long and is perfectly healthy.
The birth went well and we are so thankful for the prayers and love of our family and friends.
I’ll share more details eventually, once I am able. For now, we rest and get to know our precious daughter.

I just walked in the door a little while ago, the kids are in bed and Steve is waiting to watch a movie with me and I said “I really must see if she posted a picture of Sarah!” I am so happy to see her little face! She looks JUST like an (insert last name here) I recognized her right away even though we had not met yet! I thought with a happy smile, “Yes that little darling is one of shanda’s alright!” I bet she smells fantastic, I wish I could be there holding her while she is this tiny!I have been laughing all day about hearing the rooster walk by your window, and thought of you when I saw two “How to raise chickens” books at the library. I also saw a new stack of parenting books but they did not make me think of you (in the sense of ordering them for you) because you can write some manuals of your own now with all of your experience! :)Steve and I are so so happy for you and Rich!Lots of love!
