A couple for sure keepers from this week (click on the titles for the recipes):
Soft Chocolate Cookies “They didn’t turn rock hard!” “They taste like brownies!” “Can I have another cookie, Mom?”
Honey Wheat Bread “Stayed unbelievably soft even after 2 days!” I used all purpose flour because I did not have any bread flour. I also used 2 packages of yeast instead of just one. This bread was PERFECT. I can’t wait to make it again.

hahahha, LOVE that adorable picture! Priceless! The quote is so cute too. Makes me want a cookie! The bread sounds wonderful too.:)Thanks for sharing your beautiful life with us, Shanda! (((Hugs)))
I made whole wheat bread for lunch! We just sat down and ate it, all steamy warm, from the oven. We smothered it with apple butter that I had frozen from this fall, and some of the kids had apricot jam with it. It must be because of the snow that you and I were thinking the same thing! Are you guys getting dumped on as well? Some parts of the yard are up to my waist! I am about to go out and help Steve shovel the looooong driveway and would so much rather stay in where it is warm and protect my muscles! :)I dreampt about you last night but it is on the fringes of my mind and I cannot recall the details, you are on my mind even more than usual because of it!The picture of Sethers is perfect, covered in flour and beaming that wonderful smile I bet he is just as yummy as your bread and cookies!!!
so adorable
Oh my goodness, Seth is just the cutest little mischief maker I have ever seen (next to my Gracie, naturally)! I am scraping the bottom of my flour supply after making rolls for supper last night, but seeing these recipes is making me drool, and making me very happy that we are going to the grocery store tomorrow!
Oh my word! A baby pillsbury dough boy. LOL

Great picture! I love it! The recipes sound good. I just might have to give them a try. Have a good day, Shanda.
What a great picture! Both recipiies sound yummy. Is the bread on the heavy side? I’m looking for a good “light” bread recipe for sandwiches. Most I’ve tried are to dense for them. I hope that makes sense 🙂
He is adorable! Great picture!
@blessedwithfour – It’s not heavy…it’s light and soooo delicious. It is good for sandwiches, nice and soft. I had a pb and j yesterday with it.
