Sooner or later……a baby decides that those little things attached to the ends of their arms would be such nice things to chew…..

and this baby boy of ours is no exception.

He wonders.  How on earth can he do it?  The elbows don’t seem to bend.

The fist is so close, yet so far away.  Up there.  Moving around.

He would like to taste one.  It really doesn’t matter which one.

This one.

Or that one would be fine, as well.

Oh.  How terribly frustrating.

  1. Oh, how UTTERLY PRECIOUS!!!! Terry and I ALSO just LOOOOOVED watching Lee wave his fists around and stare at them, and then miss when trying to bring one to his mouth. Oh, they are just so vulnerable, aren’t they?! And so, so cute!!! Thanks for sharing these pictures and prompting some great memories. And I love that you posted them in LARGE size, made me feel like I was right on the floor next to Seth.

  2. Your post made me laugh out loud! — we’ve been watching Ruby do the same thing only she has finally managed to get them to her mouth and even discovered her thumb the other day! He is so sweet!!!! Don’t you wish they didn’t grow so fast?

  3. Ah, Shanda! You made me laugh out loud this morning. Laughter is a good medicine!Don’t you know he was thinking, “How could something that looked so tasty smack me in the nose?”!!!

  4. What a cutie. Love how you caught him looking at each little fist. Mary and I were saying how much we enjoy your pictures of Seth…they really are so close you feel like you can practically nuzzle him Love the little cleft chin!

  5. lol…I love how you captured this moment, and creatively wrote about it.PS He sure does look like your other boys! It’s unbelievable how much all your boys look alike. so cute!
