Happy Birthday, to my husband

“In everything give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus
concerning you.”
  1 Thessalonians 5:18

Today I am extremely thankful for my husband (well, I’m always thankful for him but you know what I mean! )….today is his birthday, he took the day off from work, and we’ve already had a nice morning.  The kids and I went out shopping yesterday and bought him lots of gifts.  I let the kids pick out whatever they wanted and they did so good!  David bought him a hammer, Caleb got him golf balls.  Jacob picked him out a whole bunch of his favorite snack foods.  Grace got him a towing cable that retracts, and a utility knife.  Ethan got him a tape measure, glass cleaner for his truck, and a flashlight.  I got him a Star Wars light Sabor so he can play with the boys (the kid in him was SO excited to get a TOY), a game (Stratego), and some books.  It was fun watching him open them all up.  He felt loved, which was my goal!  He’s a good husband and Papa.

He went out for a nice run, in the bright sunshine.  He loves running.

And now he’s out in the woods with Jacob and Ethan.  They are playing lazer tag together.

Later on, a friend is coming over to watch the children so that we can go out on a date.  We will be taking Seth with us.  I’m so thankful that we will get to spend some quality time together, we need it.  This last 2 months have been so busy!  After I’m done here, I’m going to go spend (a lot) of time trying to make myself pretty for my man!  LOL

Happy Birthday, husband of mine!  I love you!

  1. These are all such wonderful pictures, I just sat here and looked at the slide show twice! This may sound kind of funny, but something about Rich’s features reminded me of my T in a lot of the pics. It could be the chin, kind blue eyes, or some of the expressions…Rich looks like a big guy. Before his illness became chronic, Terry was huge, a really stout guy in his teens, not lanky/thin as he is now. I saw some pictures of his early years and couldn’t believe it.ANYWAYS ~ Happy Birthday to your husband. I hope you two have an awesome time together on your date later on!!!

  2. God bless you both today. I enjoy so much seeing how you and Rich are raising your family for the Lord. I know each of your children needs to make that personal choice who they will follow, but you are giving them a solid basis to help them to choose God’s way.

  3. Happy Birthday to Rich!!   Enjoy the day with him, I’m sure you will:)  I got my husband a lightsaber for his birthday last year to.  He loves Star Wars & Yoda.  So I got him the Yoda one, then I found one at a yard sale for $1.00 and now him & Matt play with them.   It’s funny to see our husband’s play like that:)

  4. Aww… it looks like he is going to have a wonderful day!! He is such a great husband and daddy – he definitely deserves an extra special day just for him! I also loved looking at all of the pictures – Rich definitely portrays the kind of man that I hope to marry someday.

  5. Happy Birthday to Rich! May the Lord bless your day together. I loved seeing the pictures of Rich and all of you. I remember many of them…what a wonderful Husband, Daddy, and man of God. You are Rich indeed!
