Just a quick post to put up a bunch of pictures that we (Grace and I) took yesterday and today.

Things are still going well, but I find it hard to get things done.  That’s okay, I’d rather be on the couch holding baby anyway.

My sweet friend Joanna sent me a box of goodies yesterday in the mail, along with some awesome quotes and verses, and I thought I would share them with the pictures.

Love, ~Shanda

to enjoy simply,
to think freely,
to risk life,

This last picture especially….is a snapshot of my life right now….baby in arms, camera in hand, kitchen table covered with a puzzle in progress, folded laundry, and daughter Grace being tortured with Math work.

Tomorrow, oh tomorrow!  I can’t WAIT to see my boys again!  The next pictures you see, Lord willing, will be of all of us together again, all eight of us.  In the meantime, I’ll enjoy today as patiently as I can.

Have a great day!

  1. You look amazing in the pictures!   So glad things are going so well.   I’m sure the boys are very excited to see you as well.  Thank you for sharing the quotes.   All the pictures are very good.   Grace is getting so big.

  2. You look great!!  Smiling and laughing sure are the best medicines.  Seth looks perfectly content nestled in your arms – these are special times.  I liked the quotes – great reminders to us all.

  3. I have the Emily Dickinson quote about “Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings….” hanging in my house. I love that quote. :)I love the pictures!!! 🙂 I am sure tomorrow will be a huge reunion of snuggles, love and hugs.
I love Grace’s face in the mirrors reflection of the last picture-looks like she expecting the solutions to her math problems to come from the sky. (grin) Cute.

  4. There is nothing like a sweet new baby!!!! You look wonderful….not even like you just had a baby and it’s great to see some mildly messy pictures (because your house is not even that messy considering your baby is brand new!!!). I can relate to those!!

  5. I love the one where Gee is on the floor with Seth, (the 3rd one down) and also the last one of you, I like the details, the framed print in the background and the puzzle, and how happy you look!
The boys will be just as happy to be home with their new brother!

  6. I love the quotes and verses! I am going to keep your page open so I can review them once or twice today!! (that and listen to your songs) working on enjoying the season I am in!!I love Grace’s hair pulled up… it is adorable!

  7. I just love seeing all of those “baby things” in the background of your pictures. Babies *do* tend to take over the house, don’t they?!Last picture with Grace pondering in the background is a winner!

  8. I loved all the quotes and the photos.  You do look wonderful – glowing in the newness of being a mommy again! Isn’t it so delightful to get to know a new child? Oooh, I do hope that the Lord has more children in store for our family. Enjoy your time with your boys tomorrow!

  9. This is a wonderful set of pictures of you and Grace and your sweet little Seth.  The last shot is a wonderful collage of life — and I particularly like the first shot of the two hands and the second one of you and Seth.  Grace has a wonderful artistic eye!

  10. I love the pictures of Grace and Seth…especially the one where they are both looking at the camera, and the one where she is holding him and looking at him…you can tell that she adores him…

  11. Congrats on your baby.. he’s beautiful!!!  he looks so cuddly  … i love the smell of newborn babies… you look great..looks like you would of had your 1st born and not your 6th!  hope your feeling good too… I had PPD too and its no fun.. i’ll sent prayers your way that God will protect you from it and give you strength for each new day!

  12. I love all these pictures and quotes. Your two hands are so precious together in that first shot. Seth looks so sweetly at you and Grace, so dear. You are a beautiful mommy and big sister! You look radiant! God bless you, JennyLookin forward to seeing your boys again too!

  13. Loved the photos and you look GREAT!!  Joanna certainly has a way of finding just the right quotes doesn’t she?  Happiness surely abounds in your household! Blessings, Karen

  14. Hang in there, your boys will be home soon… or, they may already be there now (since I am late commenting)! I love the “snapshots” of life pictures; they are the ones that always seems to hold such special meaning. There is no better way to literally capture a part of your day!! The first one is precious, too. ENJOY having your family all together again 🙂
