“Since, O sweet Lord Jesus, Thou art the present portion of Thy people, favor us this year with such a sense of Thy preciousness, that from its first to its last day we may be glad and rejoice in Thee. Let January open with joy in the Lord, and December close with gladness in Jesus.” ~ C.H. Spurgeon

Happy Birthday to your oldest son! a little late I’m afraid. I’ve not made it to check the few blogs I try to read for awhile and feel a little behind! Love the snow and Christmas pictures! looks like a glorious time 🙂 you pic of you and your son is wonderful – it is amazing how those older sons just keep growing getting taller and then one day, they will leave us behind – being taller than us mommies!
That is a perfect quote for opening the New Year, Spurgeon is so deep and readable at the same time.
