today (so far)

It’s sunny but very cold and windy.

David had speech therapy this morning and I got the giggles. . .again.

Ethan called “pepto bismol”. . .Pepto Dismal. . .

I keep hearing the boys rattle and shoot their guns that they got from my parents this weekend.

David played with blocks by himself upstairs and I could hear him singing, “Bob the Builder” to himself.

The dog stole Caleb’s cheese stick, and Caleb said, “HE. took. my. CHEESE. STICK!!”  (why is my baby talking??)

David found his tooth that the tooth fairy accidently left on the washing machine and now it’s right back under his pillow.

My sister called and we are going to start sewing together. (she just got her first sewing machine)

I’m sleepy and I want to take a nap.

The house is a mess.

I just took these pictures:

  1. The pictures are great as ALWAYS! It is so cold here, too, but the sun is nice. 🙂 I have had a great day so far. (No housework yet, but hopefully soon.) My little girl and I made Clean Mud today. I bet your kids would LOVE it!! Come on over to my blog and check it out. 🙂 It would be a fun project for you guys, and I am sure you could figure out how to incorporate it into a homeschool lesson. 🙂

  2. A. invited me to join in on the sewing, too. I just need to dig out my sewing machine and get it fixed. I’m tired and crabby today. LOL! I’m trying to get out of my funk. We had a tea party… and we’re going to make Valentines later.

  3. Sooooo…. what ya’ gonna do about David. Will he learn that you can extort the tooth fairy?? Or do you leave a note under the pillow stating his name had been turned over to the Teran Investigation Ministry for the Evaluation of Obfuscated Unapparent Toothfairies (TIME-OUT).

  4. The picture of G is so funny what did you say to get her to laugh like that? I am trying to get my house clean still….we are having J’s cousins over. Both of my babes were asleep so I thought that I would quietly get some cleaning done down stairs ya right—-the phone rang I so I went to get it, put the broom against the wall which slid down the wall knocking into my clock which then flew on the floor and the face broke into hundres of pieces! Waking up the babies!!!! Now Abbie is home and I have to run Love ya- sis

  5. I’ve been to the doctor with Jeni who had nursemaid’s elbow from her older brother “helping” get her ready for bed last night.  She’s 100% better.  I’m exhausted this after noon.  I can hear my recliner calling to me.  I did sweep and mop my kitchen floor this morning before the doctor’s visit.  It was such a wreck after hosting Home Church yesterday.  I think that’s why I’m so tired today.  We had Home Church yesterday and everyone tends to visit til well after dinner.  I think the last group left at a little before 8 PM.  It was a good day of worship with my church family though.  We celebrated 2 birthdays after lunch.  Do you hear that?  It’s my recliner again.  I better go see what it wants.

  6. Better now. My husband and I had the dreaded “after 50” test this morning. Still somewhat “slow” feeling, but I need to get going. Four of my husband’s relatives will be here for supper tonight. They are out from the east for a dairy convention in a town nearby. Looking forward to meeting them…I believe for the first time. Tell Ethan that I think he appropriately renamed “Pepto Dismal.”

  7. Your pictures are so cute!  I like how Caleb found something else to eat:)   Our dog takes Matthew’s food all the time to.   It’s cold here, we stayed in, now I’m thinking I should have went away:)

  8. I’ve been super productive.  I’m in the middle of making Dave’s bday present for his bday TOMORROW!!!!  Yes, the 11th hour girl…that’s me.  But, my house is blessed, dinner is in the crockpot, and I can handsew part of this…

  9. Cute post!  I always enjoy reading your blog.  Blessings as you serve your family and enjoy these years with them at home.  They pass so quickly!
I love to sew!  Sewing is therapeudic to me.  I imagine you and your sister will have a great time with that!
    God bless you!

  10. Well, it’s 12:13 am, and though I don’t know the exact time you were born, it’s officially February 12th, and I wanted to take the opportunity to be the first one to wish you a very happy birthday!  I hope your day is wonderful, and that God blesses you with a lovely birthday.  Love, Trish

  11. Was a beautiful day here!  In fact, so nice I went out and picked up limbs from last week’s wind – finally – and pruned back all the Lantana bushes so they are ready for the spring growth!   Spring flowers are beginning to bloom.  Today was “shirt-sleeve” weather and sunny in MS.  Sorry for you northern folks!!

  12. Tired today as I didn’t sleep well last night and we went to the snow for the weekend……..but  I did some homeschooling, to the Chiro., brought a meal to my mom recovering from surgery, and went to a homeschool leader meeting…whew.  Going to take a bath and pray for good sleep!
Loved your posts of the weekend ….the new little guy, your parents, and always the kids.  I know the mess is there….but there are a lot of you.  Do what you all can and keep enjoying your beloved ones…..it does go so fast.  David and I clean on Tues. for our Homegroup Bible study and I am always amazed how messy and dirty it gets from week to week and there are only the three of us!
OOOH, Happy Birthday!! I read the comment above.  May the Lord bless you and teach you this year.  Love, Jenny

  13. How is my day going??? Did you really want to ask that loaded question? Hahaha! I love the pictures! The boys are so cute with their guns and Grace is adorable as always, and the little is it “Cookie Monster” is adorable as well! I to have a house that is a mess…looking a bit better since a dear friend came over and told me to sit while she worked on my laundry. I am still recovering from my first jaw surgery with one more in the near future. Still on my 6 week liquid diet…only 4 weeks left! I weighed in at a wopping 95lbs yesterday due to this lovely not being able to eat! Ugh! I know I probably should be complaining about that but it is causing many other issues…Both of my boys are running high temps and are in bed ill…Emma is her normal…not sure that is the right word to use for that girl! She is such a kook! But all in all…with all of the “lovely” things that have been taking place in life lately I have to say that I am resting in the arms of our Almighty Father! and I am praising Him for dear friends!! I got the dearest email last night loaded with verses about leaning on our Lord! The email was from one of my dear friends who lost her husband just 1 year ago Jan. 26th. What a comfort His Word is!! Nothing soothes the hurting or weary soul better! She told me to go and ask God, my Father, to hold me in His lap and comfort me with His Words…He has been doing just that! Is it really your birthday? and here I just unloaded on you? I hope you have a great day! and that you get some rest!!! Sometimes that is one of the best gifts is it not? :o) Have a wonderful and restful day! The house will still be there and it will get cleaned…all in time…that is what my friend told me today!…so I’ll just pass it on to you!…Ok, getting very long winded here…(think it is the drugs babling on and on…)Love,Carilyn

  14. The white wall does make a great back drop, I think it is the cutest thing that Caleb has a cookie in his hand.  It is like they were all running around and you froze them in time, doing just what there were doing!  You will be so happy that you have these!
