feeling like seamist green. . . .

Something amused me this afternoon.  And it’s quirky enough that it makes it to the blog.

I bought myself a new shirt yesterday at Costco and I wore it today.  When I made myself tea a few hours ago, I picked out a fiesta mug to put it in, and sat down in the livingroom with it.  I was about half way done when I realized that the mug WAS THE SAME EXACT COLOR AS MY SHIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The exact same color, I say!

It’s seamist green!  Seamist!  Lea Ann (my friend who also collects fiestaware) gave me the mug years ago, it’s a retired color now and the mug is the only piece I have in that color.  And now I have a shirt to match it!  Out of about 15 different mugs, I think it’s funny that I choose that one today.

 I guess I’m feeling like seamist green. . . .

(Yes, I am rather over tired, LOL)

  1. You’re so funny Shanda! That’s a cute top.
Whenever we’re at the stores and I see Fiestaware, I think of you. 😉
    Sleep well tonight!

  2. I LOVE that color.  I would have picked that mug first before any others.  Regardless of what color shirt I was wearing.  But given that I love that color, I bet I would have picked that shirt out as well.  It makes you look very thin.

  3. Very pretty. Too funny how you matched it on accident though. I have days where I feel like a certain color of mug. Some days are blue, some days are burgundy, etc. I will have to take more notice and see if I match my clothes to my mugs too. That’s a very pretty color. Very soft.

  4. You are so cute! I can relate to sometimes “feeling” like a certain color    Come by and see the pictures I just posted of the cottage….you will like them knowing how you enjoy Victoria magazine.  blessings, Jenny

  5. Not sure it was by accident… Abba sometimes plans things in unique ways to get our attention… what could He be saying to you… perhaps that He knew in advance all the paths you would take to get you to this day.. this time… this place… and He is there in it all with you… you’re not alone on that path… this day or this place…Growing up my father was a Missionary Evangelist… back then we “lived by faith”… and so many times we would be at one church and I’d be given a blouse that was a perfect match to a skirt I was given at a totally different church miles and miles away… sometimes in another state… and I knew each time it happened that Abba had planned my life… from beginning to end… and He knew right were I was and where I would be everyday for the rest of my life. Thanks for sharing this…Hugs and Sea Mist Blessings,Mary

  6. Lovely color!  The mug and the shirt ARE the same color.  I like the pictures!  We are at my hubby’s parents right now.  We head home in the morning.  It will take us about 12 hours to get home by the time we stop for groceries.  I got my hair cut and highlighted.  It was so much fun!

  7. ryc:  I thought you may have a similar flash because of your mirror photos the other week.  One of our nieces wants me to take her wedding photos in September (she doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on pictures), so I knew I needed a better flash than the one that comes with the camera.  I agreed to take the pictures if our youngest daughter can help me.  She has more experience with wedding pictures.

  8. Love the shirt. . .love Costco and Sam’s but we have neither here in my little town. Have to go to one of the “big cities” nearby! Enjoy wearing such a fun shirt and drinking coffee/tea from a cool mug!

  9. Well, my first impression of your title is so quirky, it is making it into my comment! ~ I thought you were saying “seam-ist” green.  I was thinking, “What is a seam-ist? ~ is it something like a seamstress?”  Yeah, I’m weird ~ LOL!
