As you may have guessed, I got to meet my newborn baby nephew today.

I braved major city traffic and everything!  (a big deal for me)

I split the kids up between two friends, so I got to go alone.

I feel like I can finally relax and settle down now that I’ve spent time with the baby and my sister.

I’m so thankful for the way God has been answering prayer for Weston, he’s doing remarkably well.

In fact, he may get to go home on Friday!

  1. Oh, that room looks so familiar.  I know your sister must be anxious to get out of there.  It is so scary sometimes, and you see other babies and families that just break your heart, too.  Praying for Weston’s growth and feeding issues, which are usually the big concerns for preemies.
Encourage Amanda to stroke his face, cheeks, lips, chin, and the palms of his hands to diminish any sensory issues that can plague these wee ones.
And most importantly, listen to all advice, choose what works for her, and pitch the rest right out the window!!!!!
    Prayfully,
    Alesha

  2. What a blessing for you and your family, he is beautiful and the hairs he has , i had a son born  3 weeks early but thank God that we were able to bring him home with us, i will be praying that all works out for your sister to have him home soon
                                                           GOD BLESS,
                                                           SANDY

  3. The sixth picture really shows how tiny he is!  My babies were both over 7lbs and I can’t imagine holding such a tiny baby.
    Friday is tomorrow!  Praise God!!!!

  4. Aren’t babies wonerful?  They hold the hope of the world in their tiny little faces.  A dream with endless possibilities.  With each day you get to see a new seed of their personality sprout.  It’s amazing!  I love babies!  What beautiful pictures.  I know you didn’t take them all, but you have such a wonderful way of capturing more than just an image.

  5. I’m so glad to hear that he is doing so well!   And to get to come home on Friday!   Wow!   God is wonderful!   And that is great that you braved the traffic to go see him!

  6. I’m so glad to hear he may get to come home on Friday, that’s definitely an answer to all our prayers. We’ll keep on praying for Weston and his whole family.

  7. He is so perfect. what a handsome little man!
I can relate as both of my babies had to spent 5 days in NICU (from being too big, not too small =) it is just a huge sigh of relief when the breathing tubes are gone and the baby can be held!!
Little Weston and his family have been in my prayers and will stay there =)

  8. I have logged on to your site so many times to leave a comment- and keep getting interrupted. šŸ™‚
Mr. Weston is adorable. So fragile and yet strong! God’s wonderfulness in a bundle.
I was admiring the pictures of your kiddos skating on your pond. I WANT TO COME TO YOUR HOUSE!!!! I really do!! šŸ™‚ I always get such a nostalgia for bygone times when I look at the activities around your home. šŸ™‚ I love it.
Have a super day- and keep snapping. šŸ™‚

  9. How precious! I am looking at my little girl right now and marveling over how it was only a few weeks ago that she was (nearly) as tiny as Weston. Where did the days go? Not that I’m complaining, mind you … the bigger she gets, the better her colic gets! Congratulations on your darling nephew šŸ™‚
