Shanda,
I’m writing this for Amanda, I just want everyone to know how great prayer is. When I got back from dropping some things off for Abbie, Amanda and I went down stairs to see Wes. When we got to his bed we were delighted to see that his stressful 100 breaths a minute had dropped to 50 calm breaths a minute. He is still on the machine but he looks so much better. His color is great and the doctors are positive. Tomorrow Amanda and I get to hold him (we only got to hold him for a minute when he was born) so we are excited…

I just added (tues. morning) that comment from my brother-in-law, he sent it last night. . .after I had written the following. So, thanks for praying, God is so good all the time. . .we’re thrilled that baby Weston is already impoving. Keep praying! Thank you so much.
I’ve been distracted since Saturday night! I’ve been pacing around my house all day, waiting for the phone to ring.
WHY, you ask? Because, my sister went into the hospital Saturday, one month before her due date and today she had her first little son. She didn’t have him until this afternoon, so it’s been a long weekend for them. She and her husband Jason are so proud but want prayer for their little boy. Because he is a month early, he is not breathing on his own yet and is in intensive care. So, will you all pray very hard that my new little nephew will learn to breath correctly very soon and that he will stay healthy?
His name is Weston.
He was born today and weighs 5 pounds, 4 ounces. He is 19 inches long.
I just talked to my sister on the phone for a while, and she sounds great. We just want this little guy to start breathing normally very soon.
Thanks for praying.
Congratulations on your new baby, Jason and Amanda! We’ll be praying for him and for you.
They sent me the pictures in an email. . . .

Praying! Lord bless baby Weston and help his lungs to grow and mature and breathe on his own! Jenny

How exciting to have a new blessing for the Lord. I will keep baby Weston in my prayers. Congratulations Aunt or is it Auntie Shanda.
I’m praying hard for them. The whole experience must be so hard.
awww, prayers for the wee little one and his parents. Congrats Auntie! Suz
Lord, thank you for blessing Jason and Amanda with a beautiful son. Please continue to watch over him as he grows and heal his lungs so he can breath on his own as soon as you see fit. Please continue to bless Jason and Amanda with the peace that you have everything in your control and that you will take care of everything. Please help Weston to be a healthy, lively little boy that will grow up and serve your will. I pray that Amanda and Jason will be able to take their little boy home soon.
Congrats Shanda on your new nephew. I love babies!
What blessing! I will be praying for little Weston and for his parents and the rest of the family. May he give them strength and encouragment, especially Mommy, and may he protect Weston and allow his lungs to grow and finish developing so that he may breathe on his own.
praying… beth
I’m so excited to see him. I’m sure he’ll be just fine, he’s a little peanut, but a good size for a month early. 🙂

Thought I’d drop by to say hi and find such good news about a baby being born! I will pray for this little one; I know our Lord holds him in His hand (Job 42:2 is a favorite verse I pray for this type of need). In Him, Laurie

Happy birthday to Weston!!! Welcome to the world little guy! Shanda, he is beautiful and amazing and perfect. Truly.
Heavenly Father I ask that you hold little Weston in your hands. Protect him and shield him. Breathe air into his little lungs and help them to work properly. Grow his body and make him strong. He is an amazing miracle and although he is not my own and I’ve never met him I thank you for him. Amen.
Oh gentle little sparrow! Yes I will be praying. But Congratulations. AS an encouragement, my first child was born 3 1/2 weeks early and weighed in at a whopping 5 lbs and 15 oz. (19 inches long) He was 5-5 when we took him home. He is six feet tall and weighs more than he should now having been a healthy kid all of his life. Blessings to auntie, uncle, cousins as well as mommy and daddy! Love from SC
Congratulations Jason and Amanda! Wow, even through the little tubes and wires I can see how beautiful little Weston is! We are praying for the entire family! God is so faithful to us especially when we walk through these times in our lives.
Lots of love,
~Amy (Gracie)
I will be praying!! This post is very near and dear to my heart…our little Calvin was born very early and was in the hospital for a long time. I will be praying that God give Amanda and Jason strength and comfort through this time…and makes little Weston a strong little guy as well! Praise the Lord we serve an Almighty God who is the Almighty Physician! Praying!!!

Praising God for answered prayer. Continuing to pray for baby Weston. David says, “He sure has a good foot” My big footed guy would notice that! Jenny
More little feet…PRICELESS!! And the tiny hands…I wonder how the Lord will use them some day.
