My sister Amanda and her husband came for dinner yesterday, and I took the opportunity to take some pictures of her, I love the big belly!  She says this baby is the last, so, we want to carefully document the memories. . . .

Amanda has always been the smiley one. . . .

One of the things I am most thankful for is my sister.

I couldn’t do with out her!

So many memories. . .dancing on the lawn, giggles, sharing a room.

She was my maid of honor in my wedding.

She was the first babysitter I ever hired.

She is such a good aunt to my babies.

She’s a lot of fun, when we’re together we do nothing but laugh.

I hope I never take our relationship for granted.

My next project will be a scrapbook of the two of us.  It will be fun

gathering all the photos and memories together.

Our differences may never go away,

but neither, for me, will our song.”

  2. This post of course made me think of my sister Jenny(ABAHM) I had blonde hair and she had dark brown when we were your age. We were in each other’s weddings and adore being aunts!BTW you two are so cute

  3. You are very fortunate to have a sister. I am an only child and feel as though I missed out on so much in life. Beautiful pictures…is that your daughter in your display picture…its a gorgeous pic to say the least…Merry Christmas and have a great rest of the week…Lisa

  4. What wonderful pictures.
I’m the youngest in my family. I so wish my sister and I could be friends. She has a “better then you” complex. So there are not many who measure up to her. Many years ago I was informed I’d never be on her level. It’s sad. I love her to death yet she can do without me. Maybe one day. I keep praying.
I love the last picture. I’ll keep you sister and her delivery in my prayers.
    Rebecca

  5. I thought of my sister too…..but hey, what do you mean Mary….we HAD blonde and brunette hair…dont we still?       What a fun and lovely tribute to your sister!!

  6. I always wished I had a sister. My brother and I get along much better as adults, but there is still tension sometimes, and it was just something I thought would be cool. Now I have stepsisters, and I must admit I’m envious of their relationship. Maybe one of these days we’ll be closer too.
