It always starts out so innocently. . . . . . .

At least these packing peanuts really melt just like snow.  Call in the troops!  Time for science class!

  1. This is exactly why I love you and your family so much!! Most moms would freak out and yell at their kids. You are such a wonderful, fun mom!! The pictures are so adorable!!

  2. How funny!!  I’m the oldest of 5 kids, and this looks like something we did, except I think ours was more along the lines of trying to make mom breakfast on mothers day LOL
DH wants a very large family, and seeing your post, he would say, “Honey, doesn’t that look the the picture of supreme joy and happiness?” LOL
    God bless you
    Annie

  3. Oh boy…do I know what it’s like to clean up packing peanuts!! Once, I received a package in the mail and put the box out by the street (it was garbage day) and all the peanuts blew out of the box into my neighbors yard!! Gabe was about 3 and Rebekah was a tiny baby- we set the swing up in the neighbors yard and had to pick up ALL of the peanuts…my neighbor was having an absolute fit over her dusting of “Snow”. Gabe thought the first 10 minutes was fun….after that it wasn’t as funny or cute. ACK!! It took us two hours to get all the “snow” raked up.
The pictures you posted are super cute. I just love your photography. Your trip to NYC looks like a super blast of fun. I need to do something like that soon, I’m afraid I’m more of a country mice too!!! However, my girls want to go to the American Girl place so badly, that I’m going to have to do it sometime soon! 🙂

  4. Oh, but “those two” were having so much fun!  This is a great series ofo pictures, though it almost looks like you posted them in reverse sequence (how did you get to that next-to-last one?!).  What a fun day in school!

  5. Verrrrry fun….I have  a picture just like that of my two eldest sitting in a box of peanuts…it says below it….”a brother, a box, and peanuts, who needs toys”.  Jenny

  6. This scene reminds me of one a long time ago….when my twinnie boys discovered their grandmother’s co-op stash of graham cracker crumbs….and were SWIMMING in them…giggling uproariously! Grandma even had to smile.Boys….whatcha gonna do with ’em?:o)

  7. They look like they are having so much fun, and really if it all gets cleaned up in the end….. ? 😉 That said, my Mommy’s heart went “oh no!” at the sight of the first picture. Been there, cleaned that up before. lol.So what did the science experiments tell us? Do they just dissolve in water or will they dissolve in other substances too? :)Have a great week. Melody

  8. OH, my!!! 🙂 You gotta’ laugh don’t you? hahaha! You are the second person this week that has had an experience with those lovely packing peanuts…one of my other friends called and she was in the middle of picking up a bunch of packing peanuts that her little 3 year old had gotten into and played snow with as well! 🙂 Do they really melt like snow? 🙂 How fun!
