Guess where I was yesterday???
My friend Kathy and I have wanted to go on an adventure to NYC for a while but didn’t know until Wednesday that it would work out. . .sort of spur of the moment but great fun for us homeschooling “in great need of a break” Mommies! I got home last night exhausted but happy.
More pictures and details tomorrow!

o you lucky girl! 🙂 i cant wait to hear the details of your day.
I look forward to the details! It looks like you went to American Girl Place.
How fun!!! What could be better! I love that green jacket, so cute!
I’ve never been to NYC ~ it has always frightened me to even think of it ~ but that street looks so beautiful and peaceful. It is amazing how our preconceived ideas of a place are usually only a tiny bit right ~
How exciting — great pic!!
Look at you, you are SO cute. Can’t wait to see more pictures of your trip. My 16 year old has always wanted to go to NYC but her Mom has no desire *sigh*.
That sounds like a fun trip! I see you went to American Girl:) I bet I know who that was for:) Can’t wait to hear about your trip!
Fun fun fun! Glad it worked out!!! Is that a Christmas gift for Gee in the bag?
Ohhhh what fun! I think it is great that y’all can just hop on over there! I have not been to NYC since…since…(thinking back now)…well, since I was 8 or 9 years old. I’m 40 now so that’s a long time! ;O) My family had moved from Richmond, Virginia to New Jersey when I was 5 and my dad had an office in Elizabeth, NJ and also one in NYC. Every other weekend we would go to the city to shop, visit the musuems or see a show when my dad had work to do there – I loved it! My fondest memories of NYC…the people, the hot dogs sold in carts on the street corners (yummy!) and the buildings. Just walking around was a fun experience.
I can’t wait to hear about your adventures and pictures…you did take lots of pictures?! ;O)
xoxo Cat
We will be in NYC this coming January for my daughter’s wedding! I love that city. There is so much to see and do. I hope Grace didn’t see that bag!
Glad you got to go to NY city sound like so much fun!!
How FUN! My youngest is going to love the fact that you were at American Girl! Do tell what you picked up there…??? ; ) I am searching for Christmas ideas.
Beautiful pic!
Blessings and hugs, ~Amelia
You look so cute, is that Central Park?
My family has driven through NYC before, but I’ve never really spent time there. I would just love to go some day!I LOVE this picture of you – so cute! The lighting is nice, and the trees are lovely.
Fun! I take it this was a journey without the kids??? Glad you had a nice day.
What a doll you are! Yeah for serendipity and how grand if it can happen in NYC. Can’t wait to hear more!
What a fun outing! Oh, and a great picture!!!
That sounds like so much fun! I can’t wait to hear more about your trip.
Oh, and I love that jacket, too. Perfect for this time of year.
I love that picture of you… you look so pretty!! I love that green jacket… where did you find that?? I can’t wait to hear all about your trip, and see your pictures!!
You look great amongst the cobblestone walkway! What’s in the sack? After that store, did you have anything left to shop anywhere else (LOL)? My girls get very limited amounts of things from American Girl!
What a fun break for you gals :). I have never been to NYC, and I don’t know if I could handle that many people in one place, honestly. This country mouse might just have to stay in the country and live vicariously through your pictures. :)BlessingsMelody
NYC scares me too — but I love that photo of you, and I’m sure you had a fun time! Happy shopping!
Spur of the moment is always fun! It’s great for mommies to take a fun little break! 🙂
I love the picture. Looking forward to more scenes from the big city! (I’ve never been!) Looks like fun!
I’ve always wanted to do the same thing. I can’t wait to hear more and see more pictures. Jeremy and I will be going to visit my Mom’s boyfriend with her for a weekend and he knows the city very well because he grew up there and I think it will be so much fun to have a tour from him because I love seeing all the places that aren’t touristy too! I would love to see where my fresh air daughter lives too–that might be scary! Love, Lish
