Us Two

So, the other day I was busy with something (as usual) and the littles were watching a video when I heard David say, “Mom, take a picture of us!”

Okay then!  You don’t have to ask me twice!!

This poem is so cute!  It makes me think of David and Caleb together.

“Us Two”

Wherever I am, there’s always Pooh,
There’s always Pooh and me.
Whatever I do, he wants to do,
“Where are you going today?” says Pooh:
“Well, that’s very odd ‘cos I was too.
“Let’s go together,” says Pooh, says he.
“Let’s go together,” says Pooh.

“Let’s look for dragons,” I said to Pooh.
“Yes, let’s,” said Pooh to Me.
We crossed the river and found a few–
“Yes, those are dragons all right,” said Pooh.
As soon as I saw their beaks I knew.
That’s what they are,” said Pooh, said he.
“That’s what they are,” said Pooh.

“Let’s frighten the dragons,” I said to Pooh,
“That’s right,” said Pooh to Me.
I’m not afraid,” I said to Pooh,
And I held his paw and I shouted “Shoo!
Silly old dragons!”–and off they flew.
“I wasn’t afraid,” said Pooh, said he,
“I’m never afraid with you.”

So wherever I am, there’s always Pooh,
There’s always Pooh and Me.
“What would I do?” I said to Pooh,
“If it wasn’t for you,” and Pooh said: “True,
It isn’t much fun for One, but Two
Can stick together,” says Pooh, says he.
“That’s how it is,” says Pooh.

These two have physicals this morning at 9:15.  They’re always together.  That’s how it is.

And Mama gets to watch!

  1. Hooray for Pooh! Such wonderful poetry. As always, great photography. Oh, and I was so excited to see that Victoria magazine is back-yayyyy!! It has always been my favorite! I’ll have to see if I can find it at Walmart today!
    Take care and blessings!

  2. I tried to send you a message this morning but Xanga wouldn’t let me. . .Can you list me as one of your friends so I can? Thanks. . .just have a question for you, that’s all—Precious pictures by the way. . .

  3. reminds me of my 2 oldest sons. Even today, at ages 35 and 30 they are still best friends.  They work together and relax together and they are still a joy to watch :o)

  4. DARLING!   So cute!  Oh silly ol’ pooh!  ; )  I love winnie the pooh!  And your little boys remind me of two cute little bear cubs wrestling around and just having a good ol’ time!   Hope your day is grand in Jesus!     Thank you for that sweet comment, what an encouragement you are.  : )  You stop by any ol’ time at all!

  5. I have been busy awhile so I haven’t had time to pop in but I took the time to read over several of your post just now. All the pictures are so beautiful.  You have a lovely home. I love the antique and modern look in a home. It makes me just want to sit awhile and let my eyes go on a antique treasure hunt. Also, the picture of the children  playing Indians was adorbable. I sure hope you frame it!

  6. SO sweet , what a blessing  they are to you  have a great day
