Does anyone remember the post I did about my almost-five-year-old Davy-do last week? Remember how I said that he’s been freezing things lately?
Well, just when I thought I could finally share my pictures from Boston, David had to go and do something blog-worthy. Something funny and unsual, at least to me.
I came inside yesterday afternoon just in time to see David come up from the freezer door (it’s a “freezer on the bottom” that pulls out like a big drawer) with a spoon of “something”. I had just served them the last of the ice cream the other night so I asked,
“What are you eating?”
“Cereal!” He said, mumbling and gesturing down in the freezer like, “look for yourself”. Proudly.
I peeked in. And there, staring back up at me, was David’s leftover breakfast. Cocoa Krispies. He froze ’em.
He froze ’em. And ate ’em.
(after I took the pictures I made him put his knife in the sink and get a spoon!)
How? Why? What next?
To be con’t. . . . . . . . .

That is to funny. Looks like something my son wouldhave tried to do.
oh yuck! but definitely funny!
Wayyy too cute!
I expect you often wonder, “What next will “Davy-do”? I kind of think he may be a scientist when he grows up ~
It is no wonder that he and Meghan get along so well…the look of pride on his face is priceless. I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.
he is too funny…love it~
So great.
What a character he is!

That’s really funny! I love the look on his face!
Sounds pretty thrifty to me — lol!
too funny!
Very cute. He looks very proud. 🙂
We have 5 as well. They’re Anna (10), Caleb (8), Julia (5), Natalie (3), and Luke (1.5). What are the ages of your guys?
P.S. I just scrolled down and saw the family picture. What a beautiful brood you have. 🙂
Just the fact that you LET him do this without freaking out astounds me. You are so patient. My kids would love to come live at your house, they’ve never had Cocoa Krispies.
That’s hilarious. But it kind of makes me glad that our freezer is on the top. :)P.S. I missed you last night. I’m excited that I get to have J & E in my class.
Oh, Shanda, he is too cute!! Those are some precious moments you will never forget! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I think of you, Cathi, and Tara as well, and look forward to getting back in touch with you! How is your new homeschool year going? 🙂 Heather
That is hilarious. Can’t wait to see the sequal.
I just love how you ENJOY your children and find the humor in situations that would only exasperate others! I remember some of my younger siblings doing similar things as “Davy-do” – just full of creativity! (In some cases I thought of it more as “creative/original sin” ) You’re a great mom!
That’s so funny!!!!
Funny, funny, funny. Made me laugh. I love it that you let him keep right on with the freezing addiction.
I am pretty curious at what he will put in there next! That is too funny! He seems to be enjoying his experiments. I think it’s great that he is learning what happens to items once they are put in the freezer. Maybe you have a little scientist on your hands. 🙂
LOL! Frozen grapes are yummy too! As are bananas but you should peel them 1st
btw~ i luv how you use different fonts in all your posts! you are such an artist
This is so cute! It may well be exasperating now, but you guys will have such laughs when he’s older…
