Whew! I just finished this pillow (that I started last night). I am so excited, this is the first one I have ever made like this. The “simplify” piece was cut out of one of my old shirts. I had to look online to figure out how to do the ruffle. I was a bundle of nerves as I was sewing around the final outside piece. . . .my hands were actually shaking as I turned it right-side-out–hoping for no major mistakes! Please tell me that my next one will be more relaxing to put together. 
Now I gotta go get out of these pj’s. . . . . .

Really cute! Better watch out! Pillow making can be addicting! I made many pillows where I cross stitched some special thing and then used it in the middle of the pillow. I also used stencils on muslin and then added the quilted pieces around that. It will get easier. LOL! They make wonderful gifts, too. You can make small pillows and fill them with herbs. Add a satin ribbon for hanging. Oh, yes! Pillows ideas will flow and you will get to be a real pro!

That’s beautiful — looks like it was made by a pro (lol) ! It is addictive, and it does get easier — and if you make a mistake you can usually just rip it out and redo it (I’ve done that many times — sewed pieces on inside out, or upside down). Great job!!!

Oooh, you’re giving me the sewing fever! The pillow is lovely, and as others said, I’m sure your practice will make your next attempt less stressful! Before starting college, I used to sew a lot. My greatest achievement was making two sets of matching dresses for my six sisters and myself when I was seventeen years old. That was ten years ago, and I’m not sure I could still do it!
Great Job! It is really perfect for that rocker on the porch. You should be very pleased – your creation looks so professional. I remember your mom trying to teach both of us how to sew aprons. I don’t think I ever finished mine. ( but I do like to sew costumes and curtians… )

Excellent job. I’ve always wanted to learn how to do that ruffle too! I never attempted it! They both look awesome–like a professional did them! Its hard to become friends with your machine but after a lot of use you get there.
