Just for fun!

Isn’t he amazing?

Have a wonderful day everyone!  It’s going to be beautiful here–sunny and warm–after school is over we are spending the rest of the day outside!  Do something fun and silly today and don’t forget to take a picture!

“We cannot stop the years from rolling on, nor can we keep back the gray hairs and the wrinkles and the lines of weariness.  These bodies will grow old in spite of us.  But there is no reason why our spirits should not be always young.  We ought to keep a child’s heart beating in our breast until God calls us up higher.  We ought to grow always toward youth.” -J.R. Miller (again!)

  1. thanks for the chuckle, yes, amazing….but his face should be a little more grimaced in pain, just not fair how limber some folks are =)

  2. Wow! He IS amazing. I was just in that postition while reading a book this morning. It’s so relaxing and helps to stretch all of the muscles in my body so that I can be ready for my 25 mile jog, followed by stair stepping, bo-flexing, house cleaning, laundry, food preparations, yard clean up and then another 10 mile jog, followed by stair stepping, bo-flexing, some simple handsprings, back bends and balance beam moves before bed.
I’m so glad he has learned this very important form of relaxation and stretching. It will be wonderful for him as he moves through life, to be so flexible. It’s certainly worked for me and all of my children. It’s the first thing we do in the morning as a family and the last thing we do before bed at night!
SERIOUSLY though……what a GREAT picture!:):) I LOVE it!
I really enjoyed catching up on all of your posts…..and the wonderful pictures. What fun your family has together! I loved your vacation pictures too. Vacation?  What’s that? I haven’t been on one in nearly two years! I told my hubby we really need to plan a sunny vacation this summer so we can all soak up the Vitamin D!!!
Have a blessed day and thanks for the great chuckle!
    (((((hugs))))

P.S.  Thanks for your sweet comment regarding Levi’s health situation. Prayers and comments have been appreciated more than ever and I GREATLY appreciate them just on a normal day!:):):)

  3. I used to wonder what it was going to be like to “get old” and one thing I have noticed as I grow old(er) *grin* is that our spirits do stay young……..my body is obviously aging but inside I don’t feel any different than I ever did……..something I try to always remember when I encounter the very elderly on my dailey journey—-on the inside they feel just like I do—joys, sorrows, hopes, dreams, favorite things……
ps…….you mentioned your “other side” when you left a comment on mine………where is it?

  4. Wow, it’s been a while sense I’ve found a blog I’ve enjoyed this much.    Thanks for stopping by so that I was able to find my way here.  Loved all the beautiful pictures, if it’s ok I’ll be subbing.

  5. AMEN! My mom and grandmother never acted their age and I try not to either…there is no reason to act old when we have the joy of the Lord in our hearts to share
