Sometimes it’s guesswork when you’re a mommy.
Like today: Baby was having a melt down a little bit ago. I thought he was hungry so I picked him up and put him in his high chair. He kept crying as I warmed him up some pasta and cried even harder when I tried making him eat a bite. (He would not eat any of it!) So then, I lifted him out of his high chair and his head hit my chin which knocked my teeth together! Ahhhhh! What a moment. I sat right on the floor with him, told him to stop crying (he did!) and he put his head down on me.
I hummed Christmas songs and he fell right to sleep. (Christmas songs? Yes, the phrase, “all is calm, all is bright” kept running through my mind.
)
Of course I had oldest son take a couple pics.
Poor Baby. All he wanted to was to sleep on Mama.
Then son #2 had a math question.

So precious! What a good mommy.
You are a good mommy! Cute pics!
why didnt they teach us this kinda problem solving in school?
Too cute. Little man was just sleepy and wanted his mommy. Have a great day.
So cute! Jacob took good pictures. 🙂
Yes, it can be such a challenge at that age to figure out what they need. I am glad you found out. It is so precious to hold a sleeping babe. Blessings
What a sweet little sleepyhead!
Good Day….your son is so sweet having a snooze on your lap. I remember my children being fussy and all they wanted was a cuddle and a snooze on my lap too. Wouldn’t trade that for the world.
Have a great day!!
awwwwwwwwwwwww poor baby, glad he found rest in his Mommys arms
Ohhh, sooo sweet!:):) I’ve had some days like this lately….with Noah being sick. It’s so precious when they fall asleep on Mommy, isn’t it? LOVE the pics!
Bless you!
Jana
Too cute…It makes all worth the sacrifice to stay home for days like that.
Marissa is my little love bug. She gets all out of sorts when she doesn’t get any loving time in every day. She was too cute with Rog yesterday. She climbed right up on his lap, gave him a big hug, then a kiss on his cheek, and just told him “I love you, DAD”. She does the same to me…but it was cute she did it for daddy too.
One of those frustrating moments that becomes a blessing.Your rose images are timeless
awww so sweet! Liam did almost the same thing today…love it!
Mt first thought was “I wish Coco was young enough to still do that” and my second thought was how you are such a good Mommy. My Third thought was how in shape you are!!!
awwwwww….so precious…
sweet…looks like you have another photographer in the family too. =)
Sweet!
Awwwww. It is guesswork at times, process of elimination. At least when we stumble on the right thing, it usually works quickly.
I recently saw a 14 month old fall asleep at the table in his booster seat. Then, I heard crying, looked up, and he kept bumping his head on the table as he was dozing off. There were 3 toddlers making all sorts of racket. I put my baby on the floor and held the sleepy boy until my friend could get the pack-n-play set up. He fell right to sleep on my chest….ohhhh, I love those moments….but my children usually NEVER do that!!!! Errr….
tender moments that make a person melt. Thanks
a glimpse in on the life of Shanda. Too cute!
So sweet — Those are total, bliss-out Mommy moments. My youngest is our “snugglebug” and is good for a snuggle anytime…my oldest was far too “busy” as soon as she could crawl/walk, though she has come back to me recently . I dread when the snuggling days are over!
