My cousin Elisha came for a visit. It was the first time in about 7 years that we were able to spend time together at my house. What I loved the most about her was that we didn’t have to talk at all. The quiet times we spent together were just as satisfying as a good conversation.
We went for a walk. . . .
Blue and White
And a brilliant peeling bark shining red from the sun.
Wintergreen
I called this plant, “pumpkin heads”, does anyone know what it really is?
We went to a scrapbooking store, “The Inspiration Station”, and discovered how weak we are when it comes to stickers, papers, scrapbooks, embellishments and gadgets.
We both laughed when Elisha remarked as we left the store, “If I didn’t have a limit on my credit card I would’ve spent a lot more.”

You come up with the best quotes to complete you photo post! I’m going to send this one to my sisters Lovely, and graphic images you captured on your walk. Have you ever taken art or design classes, or is this just one of your God given talents?Blessings and Hugs, Mary
how fun! and as always, great pictures!!!
That brown coat looks so cool, I have been looking for a new winter coat, the scarf looks good with it, I like how you have it tied. I have been seeing those puffy coats everywhere!
So jealous of Elisha’s time with you!!!!!!!! Very happy for sweet Elisha to have you, but wishing I could be there as well.
The red bark is stunning!!
looks like fun! cousins are so great. it’s awesome when you can get close to someone like that 🙂
I guess it’s a good thing I don’t have too many craft hobbies I couldn’t afford it LOL. The pics are beautiful. It’s nice you have someone to spend time with like that =] I love the pic of the 3 trees
Have a great day!
Hey Shan, I love this post. I can’t wait to spend more time with you like the past weekend. I truly felt at home and so comfortable with you and your family. Love, Elisha
What stunning pictures, really like the “red bark” and the triplet Evergreen trees. I am glad that you had ‘Lish come out and visit. Can I help you and Dave with the cookies? Love you Sis.
Oooooooooh, I love that red peeling bark photo ~ exquisite!
I love photography and scrapbooking! I spend so much money scrapbooking…which reminds me that after my next pay check I have to get to Michaels and get some new stuff. I have quite a bit of stuff I need to catch up on in my scrapbook, and I’m dying to use the new stuff my in-laws gave me for Christmas. You are a wonderful photographer! I loved the snow picture, and for some reason, the blue and white. That to me was so peaceful. Thanks for sharing with us your talent for art!
I’m so glad you had such a good time. I was just getting caught up on putting my pictures in my album and was thinking of you and your scrapbooking journey. It looks like you had such a fun time.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures with us.
I love your posts!! I’m just starting my first scrapbook and it sure looks like I could spend a lot of money doing it!! I have 50+ first cousins and unfortunately I don’t get to see very many of them often — spread out all over the country. I’m the oldest girl so lots of them are quite young (compared to me!) How special for you and your cousin!
I love the pic at the top,it is great for your page, all the others are lovely as well ,I asked my husband and he does not know what that pod is ,he usually knows. The orange bark is an especially nice shot!!
*red bark
Once again the photos speak to something deep inside me. I’m a little jealous of your cousin time. My three best childhood friends are my cousins. Now they all live in another country, and I hardly ever get to see them.
I am weak for scrapbooking anything!!!! I just went to my local scrapbooking store yesterday! fun fun! 🙂
Was any of that snow melting today?
You are very pretty…!!!!! And I, again, enjoyed all of the pictures!!! You have such beautiful talents!!! **hugs** ❤ Jami
Sweet!!Fellowship is a blessing!!
Thanks for stopping by my site! I love those pictures! I’m a scrapbook supply junkie, too. But, it’s hard to justify for the meager amount of scrapbooking I actually do!Your little piggie cursor thing is wonderful!
Thanks for all your kind comments. That is always encouraging when I know people enjoy reading my stories. I don’t plan to publish my stories. They are not good enough for that. I mainly write them for my kids and only post a few of them on xanga in hopes someone will be encouraged. I have readers from 40 states and about 10 foreign countries, counting provinces as different countries. I hope God is honored by the stories I post. Thanks again for your encouragement. Albert
Looks like you had an awesome time with your Cousin. What a special bond! Loved the photos too. So pretty and the composition is so neat. Lynn
thanks for posting the pics!!!! I loved looking at all of your finds!!!! The pink buttons are GREAT! 🙂
Great pictures. 🙂 What a nice visit you had. I can’t go in Scrapbook stores often, or I will blow the budget big time! There are so many neat stickers and other things out that I just can’t resist. Blessings on your dayMelody
I love your pictures! They are so beautiful. You live in such a beautiful place. We get NO snow here (Chandler, Arizona), so seeing it makes one long for it. My son’s have always wanted a dog too…however, we have allergies. So….it is a big no no. Have a blessed week.
Shanda,
What a lovely visit and pictures to boot! I would have been sorely tempted in that craft shop!
Blessings,
Gina
