The night was great.  It felt like a family get-together.  It was relaxing and fun.  We ate and we talked.  People left at about 10:30 (including Rich, lol).  He is still out getting the children from my sister’s house.
This has been a HUGE night for me in many ways–personally and spiritually.

I am so thankful to my heavenly Father, who doeth all things well.

All the way my Saviour leads me!
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy
Who through life has been my guide?
Heavenly peace divinest comfort
here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know what-e’re befall me
Jesus doeth all things well.

  1. Hi Shanda, Just got caught up reading your last few posts. Delighted that this evening went so well for you (love you very long table for lots of friends) I also like your family Christmas photo, everyone looks great and the contrast between the boys and your daughter is cute.

  2. Hi Shanda-I have to say that you looked very peaceful and joyful in your pics. I am so happy to know that everything turned out so well and that you had a fun and relaxing night. Your roses look beautiful in your Fiesta pieces. You did a great job and your home looked beautiful. Have a wonderful day.

  3. Looks like a wonderful time.  I enjoy entertaining too, but do admit that the getting ready can be a bit stressful especially with young children, but it always seems worth the hassel to enjoy good fellowship.
btw, I love that new fridge and the fridge picture, cute!!

  4. Christmastime get-togethers…aren’t they so fun.  Glad everything worked out and it looks like you were able to enjoy yourself even after all the time and preparations you did!  Merry Christmas.

  5. Ditto to all that was posted before me.  I just want to add that my heart joins with yours whenever you post words to a hymn. Here in California, (and I don’t know if this applies to only here, or everywhere) it seems that churches are focused so much on the “contemporary” aspect of things, that they often lose sight of the value of “old school” and by this I am referring to the music that is played, sung, etc.  I just love the old hymns, and praise God for another soul who shares that love.  Thank you!

  6. Your party looks like so much fun and how cool was it that we both had our Christmas parties on the same night and WITHOUT kids!!  πŸ™‚  I just love fellowshiping with other christians and enjoying their company.  God is so good to give us each other as FAMILY.
P.S. something must be up with my xanga, because I haven’t been getting your posts in my subscriptions.  so I re-subscribed today.  maybe that will take care of it.  πŸ™‚
