Last night I took Caleb to bed with me and he fell asleep in my arms. I just had to take some pictures of him. My baby is getting so big and I cherish every moment. When I was looking at the pictures last night, I found myself humming this lullaby:
“All Through the Night”-the lullaby
Sleep, my child, and peace attend thee,
All through the night;
Guardian angels God will send thee,
All through the night;
Soft the drowsy hours are creeping,
Hill and vale in slumber sleeping,
I my loving vigil keeping,
All through the night.
While the moon her watch is keeping,
All through the night;
While the weary world is sleeping,
All through the night;
O’er thy spirit gently stealing,
Visions of delight revealing,
Breathes a pure and holy feeling,
All through the night.
Beautiful.
oh… So sweet. I’m sure you loved being able to snuggle with your baby.
Oh my goodness! The ones of his little feet and mouth are SO sweet! Is there any way we can hear the song? The words are beautiful.
You make me miss it.
very sweet!!! How old is he? He looks to be about the age of my youngest. Finley (my baby) will turn one on the 25th of this month.

I love it when they are sleeping…I still love it when Marissa falls asleep. She hasn’t totally lost the baby cheeks yet. But she will soon. I’m glad I have other babies close by to snuggle.
Love Ya!
Wow! he is totally out! 🙂
He’s beautiful, Shanda. You’re going to love having these pictures to look back on, one day. Have a wonderful day. -Tara
ryc~ I’m getting ready for our winter art show. My husband and I are both artists and we have a booth left from our two month summer show. I have been a stained glass artist for 27 years and he’s been a sculptor for 37. We have been blessed to be able to make a living from creating beautiful things, work at home and raise our daughter.
I have never met your little Caleb, but my heart was so touched and my eyes filled with tears at the sweet, sweet pictures you posted of your beautiful son and the words to that precious lullaby. I have never heard that lullaby – I will have to try to find the tune on the internet. Thank you for sharing this moment with us! 🙂
Very sweet post. What a doll!
Oh, my goodness! I’m in tears! Thank heavens for little baby boys!
Thanks for sharing those darling pictures!
I was just looking at my girls baby albums and couldn’t believe how fast it goes by. I actually find myself missing baby stage! Caleb looks so peaceful!!
sweet!
My favorite teacher (3rd grade) taught me that song! Oh, I can just hum it to myself looking at your little one sleeping. I’ve been thinking alot lately about my own “little one” who will be 25 in two weeks! In my eyes, he still has those little toes, and that precious little mouth…thank you so much for sharing! ~Karen
