“To Everything there is a season

and a time to every purpose under Heaven”

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Hi!  I’m back!  I’ve been a little under the weather.  I’ve been been very stressed out, if truth be told.  Nothing terrible has happened, I’m just trying to adjust to my new life.  As most of you know, we moved in July to a new house.  It’s been a dream come true and my family and I love our new place.  But, at the same time, it IS an adjustment.  Also, I am now a HOMESCHOOLING MOM, officially, as of yesterday.  I have been a bundle of nerves over it.  Really, that’s the perfect description!  A BUNDLE OF NERVES!  And when I’m really nervous, I retreat within myself.  I brood.  I don’t speak or communicate like I normally do.  Hence, no blog entries!

Joyfully, I am feeling more like myself today.  School was great and the kids are outside fishing in the pond.  I can see David out the window as I type.  The sun is shining and I can hear the buzzing of insects and the singing of birds.  I am so happy and thankful to be in this place in my life. . . . . . .

This picture is UPSIDE-DOWN for a reason!  I thought the different perspective was beautiful.

My Jacob is finally a country boy.  I love the rolled up jeans and the 3-cornered hat.  Jacob has a huge interest in the Revolutionary War and we bought him the hat while we were in Sturbridge, MA.  By the way, He ACTUALLY CAUGHT ONE!

My David.

Once again, Sister is wearing her GREEN dress.  How many times have we all seen that dress in my blog pictures?  It’s funny how we all have our most favorite outfit and Grace is no exception.  I took this picture yesterday on a walk with the kids.  This field is up behind our house in the State woods.

I hope all of you are having a wonderful day.

The King of love my Shepherd is, Whose goodness faileth never;  I nothing lack if I am His and He is mine forever.

Where streams of living water flow my ransomed soul He leadeth, and where the verdant pastures grow with food celestial feedeth.

In death’s dark vale I fear no ill with Thee, dear Lord, beside me;  Thy rod and staff my comfort still, Thy cross before to guide me.

And so through all the length of days They goodness faileth never:  Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praise within Thy house forever.

  1. So cute how they have sticks with them on the walk!  I thought it was very cool hoe the reflection picture was flipped, you are so right about it being a neat perspective!
I am so glad that you are back to blogging but more importantly back to feeling strong and capable of this awesome task that God has called you to do!

  2. I love the reflection of the landscape on water.  We have a body of water by our house and every time I drive by it I think that I want to take a picture.  We all need to ‘retreat’ once in a while.  I hope you find peace and a feeling of ‘settled-ness’ to your life soon so that your ‘bundle of nerves’ can dissapear!!  🙂

  3. I am very glad homeschooling is going so well.  I was going to call you (and still might) to talk about how things are going.  As you can tell by my blogging I am not having as much fun right now.  But I know from experience that it will get better.  I am just really concerned about Madelynn’s reading.  That is stressing me as well as all the regular household stuff.  But I know next week will be better since I only work one day.  Plus Meg starts preschool again.  Oh, well enough about me.  I’m glad you are back and are doing well.
    Love Ya

  4. Sorry you being under a lot of stress lately. Glad you are feeling better, I will pray for  peace in your heart as you adjust to all the new changes. I loved the new pictures they are beautiful. Speaking of pictures did you know one of yours (the one of you and two friends) is featured in the boosted section of xanga today? Just thought I would let you know in case you didn’t want it there, that is how I ran into my yucky situation. Have a wondeful day tomorrow~Michelle

  5. Believe it or not…you have been a homeschool mom from the time your first child was born.
    Deuteronomy 6:6-9
6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
9And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

  6. When I first read this entry today, no one had yet commented. Now you have a ton. And just so you know, I wanted to comment then and say hi, but BOTH HANDS literally were in the dorito bag cuz I was so hungry!
I remember having my own “green dress.”
You are a great mom – your blogs are so genuine!

  7. I’m so glad things are going well so far. I’ve been praying for you and “Jude.” I pulled a “Jude” Last night and told her I was worried about her, that she looked exhausted. Then realized after I said it how awful that sounded. Oh well. People had been telling me all night how uncomfortable I looked, so I guess it must have worn off on me. 🙂 I miss you. I feel like we haven’t talked in a while. We’ll have to catch up after things settle into a routine a little bit.

  8. I would have been a bundle of nerves too but you’re doing the right thing.  How wonderful it is to have the freedom to teach your children all the necessary subjects and the ways and wonders of God!!!!  I’m glad things are going well now!  Thanks for sharing your photo’s!  Love, Lish
