(music for listening!)
Hello, dear friends! It’s about 55 degrees here with sunshine….I should be outside, but after a busy weekend and busy morning I am perfectly content to be in comfy clothes (baggy sweater, yoga pants, socks), inside my cozy living room, with curled up sleeping cats on the couch with me. It’s quiet! Sarah is napping.
I had a nice chat with my brother Dave this afternoon. He and his wife Maria recently returned from two weeks in Paris. He had promised to share pictures with me and he’s already sent me over one hundred digital photos….I looked at them all several times….feeling sort of, envious, but mostly heart-happy to have world travelers in the family. Can a mom of seven be a world traveler at this point? No. But I can live vicariously through Dave and Maria. They had such a good time, I love the photos, and Dave said I could share them here with you. Enjoy!

He said the Mona Lisa is still attracting people like a rock star. They got up to it, took a couple quick pictures and then continued on…….

onion soup! Dave said he had it (his favorite) about 6 times…..delicious, outside by the street, with a bottle of wine in an ice bucket and his beautiful wife, how can life get better in a moment like this?

Thanks to all the miles and miles of walking he said he didn’t gain any weight even with so many Paris treats.
(this is where I was envious)…..fabulous bookstore “Shakespeare and Company” !!!!! ^^
Tomorrow I will share their pictures from Belgium. xo
PLEASE FORGIVE any errors in this post, I am not a *City of Paris expert* and I quickly googled information to go with Dave’s fabulous photography.
Have you been to Paris?
PS. Thia, I wrote you back (and mailed) today!
and, Joanne, I received your letter! thank you!
Paris is truly magical! I was fortunate enough to live there for a year several years ago and the history, beauty and deliciousness are intoxicating.
I have been to Paris, but it didn’t count. We (hubby and me and 3 young children) flew into Paris one night after dark, were taken in a cab to our hotel, got up the next morning before the sun was up, took another cab to a different airport, and left for Africa. That’s all I’ve ever seen of Paris. So near and yet so far.
Beautiful pictures! That’s a trip of a lifetime! Thanks to you and Dave and Maria for sharing!
So wonderful to see some photos from their trip! I have never been to Paris, but would love to.
I have been blessed to go to Paris and it’s a beautiful city. My parents took my sister and me on bus trip in Europe when I was 19 years old We went to about 10 cities in 21 days..It was an amazing gift!! Such lovely pictures..I am sure they had the trip of a lifetime.
I am very happy that your brother and sister in law were able to visit Paris. It is a beautiful city; I also love to go to Paris, there are always new things to discover. Shanda, I hope you can also come and visit Paris. We have an old family apartment (old building) in the Paris suburbs, if one day you are interrested? But it is small, only for two or three people. It is not luxury, but we will be happy to receive you, one day. It is not inhabited, but our family goes there often because we love Paris. Sorry for the mistakes, I do not speak English well .
I am happy to see these pictures of Paris on your blog. God bless your family.
