We had a yummy hot dog lunch today. It was great until Caleb got stung on the hand by a yellow jacket. It took a while for him to get over it, but he’s okay now.
Poor Caleb! I was in the coffee shop yesterday and an adorable little girl about 4 started to scream while sitting at the table next to me. I turned to see her frantically tugging away at her shirt and next thing I knew a wasp flew out from her shirt. Grandma and Grandpa had taken her out for a treat at the donut shop and she got stung while indoors. She had gator tears for quite some time. I felt soooo soryy for her but her grandma cuddled her till the tears were gone.Minus the yellow jacket sting your lunch looked like a wonderful time was had by all! When I saw the Heinz bottle I thot Heinz, there is no other kind! :)Loved the ant on the bun, that’s what makes it a true picnic eh!Blessings
ohh looks like such a great time. loved sarah and her bonnet. oh how i love hotdogs and marshmallows. nothing like ‘working’ for your food to make it taste just that much better. so nice that you guys are able to get outdoor before the weather turns cold
You are such a good mom! I love the way you know how to take time to enjoy life in the middle of a busy scheduled day. That is so important. You inspired me today. Thank you! I get too caught up in the busy schedule and forget to smell the roses along the way at times. I am really trying to slow down. It is easy to buy into the world’s view of what we are suppose to be doing. I love your blog because it helps refocus me on taking time to do the things that REALLY matter, and that is family time together. Praying you have a blessed day today, and thanks again for being a source of inspiration from the Lord. ~ Deborah
I also love that you share the joys of everyday life that so many of us are too busy to really see. Such a shame for us. I was told that a paste of baking soda and water applied to a bite or sting takes the pain away. I had to test it on a fire ant bite and after leaving it on several minutes it truly did.
Hope Caleb is feeling better now. Love the pics! Sarah’s bonnet is something else- so cute!
When I saw Sarah in the bonnet, my first thought was, “Little Red Riding Hood” ~
What fun! Almost makes me want a hot dog.
How sweet. Nothin’ better than a little time with ones children!PS: check you mailbox as early as Friday!:):)
OUCH! Poor thing! those stings hurt!We had a hot dog lunch today too, lol, but it was at costco! 😉
Ouch, glad he is okay now! What a great lunch 🙂
that’s just awesome! it’s the little things that make some of the best memories!
Now I want a hot dog!
Just a note! when you get a bee sting, put a penny on it for a while. It takes the swelling out of it, etc. I don’t know it just works.
Yay! I love it!! 🙂 Great day of memories made. 🙂
Even at well past 70, I get hungry sometimes for a good ole roasted hot dog, slightly charred! And a root beer float! Yum, yum!
Hello,
What a sweet family & a sweet looking day!
Blessings~~Lori
