(I took the picture just this morning)

I’m delighting in a good night’s sleep…..AND…..

….the sun is shining, the children are healthy and quietly playing, I see robins hopping all over the yard.

Birds are singing.  The air outside is clean and sweet.

My coffee’s good.

It’s going to be a beautiful day.
Isn’t S P R I N G wonderful?

  1. How sad is it that a mom of 6 and the mother of a nursing newborn got better sleep than I did?? (LOL) I’m so happy for you!!! These first few weeks of transition are always full of ups and downs, smiles and tears, milestones and setbacks…..but it looks like your pulling through!! Enjoy the robins and the sunshine. :)God Bless you mommy heart!!!
    Love, Cass

  2. You got more sleep than I did! I’m so jealous, too!
    : P
    I wonder, too, how you can have only one view, and 16 comments.  My math may be fuzzy after sleep deprivation, but that seems too illogical …
    ~whatever!
    Loves!

  3. It is such a refreshing feeling when you finally some semblance of “normal sleep”.  Things are looking up.  Enjoy your beautiful day.  Blessings to you.

  4. Good for you! Glad he did… Julia woke up every 2 hours and was hungry every time!! I think she is on a growing spurt…so I had a crazy night! lol.

  5. Praise God! Rest for the weary!!! I can feel the difference radiating from you through this post and the last one or two. Also, I know it makes a huge difference having Rich back from his trip. I hope the doula and housekeeping help are working out too! I think it is just as much an emotional help as practical, to have assistance with things like that. Even if you could have managed alone somehow, it is just reassuring to know there is something/someone else to lean on, that you don’t HAVE to do it all alone. And we aren’t meant to “do it all alone!”I just got home from the pediatrician and got some advice from her about Lee’s sleeptime issues. I just can’t believe you are already getting 6 hours straight with Seth, and here I am with a 6-month old, still in survival mode. I am sure it is my own fault, but I have tried as hard as I could, with what I knew, without success. In the last two weeks, however, Lee has gone from 1-2 hour stretches of sleep, to 3-4 hour stretches. We’re going to try the pediatrician’s advice, and hopefully be getting a full night’s sleep very soon! (sorry for belaboring this topic – ugh.) Have a great weekend!

  6. How wonderful!  I am so thankful that you were able to get some good sleep!  Baby Seth is precious, and growing so fast.  Enjoy your beautiful day.  It is snowing here.

  7. That is great, My Megs mostly slept through the night at about 3 weeks old. It’s hard to remember, it’s been so long time ago. Seth is such a cutie pie. {{Hugs}}

  9. It sure is wonderful when baby lets us sleep!!   I love the picture of him in the gown,  I love gowns on my babies.  Happy Spring!!  Have a great day with your family! Hugs!
