Gratitude
Well, it’s finally happened!
My brother David is engaged, to this lovely girl, Maria.

If you’re thinking about leaving a love-note
for your husband today, here are a few ideas:
“You’re the best time my heart ever had”
“I’m so glad to have you to love. . .and to snuggle. . .and to kiss. . and to hug.”
“Every time I follow my heart, it leads me back to you.”
“With you is my very favorite place to be.”
“I’m nuts about you.”
“There’s nobody besides you I’d rather be beside.”
“I still get stars in my eyes over you!”
“Can I keep you?”
“Your love makes every day a little party!”
“I’d do anything for you!”
“If you think of me as often as I think of you. . than neither of us is getting much else done!”
“I’m thinking of you. .and my heart is racing.”
“Your love makes my world go ’round.”
“You and me, what a great pair”
“Just a surprise hello. . .just because I love you.”
“I’m yours! All yours! Think you can handle it?”
“Every day I discover something new to love about you.”
Yeah, they’re a little corny but. . . . . .we all need to be corny now and then. . . . . . .And, in case you’re wondering, I got all the quotes from a little Hallmark notepad that I found a few years back. They are actually sticky-notes that you just peel off and stick on places like the bathroom mirror or your husband’s steering wheel.
Don’t forget to draw a picture on your note
get all artsy about it!

Cute notepad you found! Congrats all around ~
What a lovely couple! Congratulations to them! Marriage is indeed a wonderful blessing. I love the husband love note ideas, very cute! I think I’ll have to give my hubby one of them today. Thanks for the good idea!
Congratulations to your brother! And Maria is beautiful! They make a really cute couple! I love that notepad idea! I’ve been wanting to be creative in letting Tim know I’ve been thinking about him… this gives me a great start! I happen to find “corny” charming!!
I love these little note ideas! I often slip little things into Dan’s lunch, like notes or some candy. Sweets for my sweetie!
Beautiful pictures too. 🙂 Congrats to the happy couple!
I miss hearing from you, friend. Hope you are well.
Blessings,
H
Great pictures and cute notes!
Two things…love the love note idea…I haven’t done that in a while. 2nd, your David looks so much like your BROTHER. That picture where he’s making the funny face (the 4th one) I know I’ve seen on a picture of your little boy!!! Uncanny!!!
Geidlbots is right! Little David makes that same face. That’s funny.
Congratulations to David and Maria! That is exciting news.
The love notes idea is so sweet.
Congratulations to your brother and Maria – they look like a very sweet couple! Aw, thanks for sharing the love note ideas. I collect those.
Gratefulness gets overlooked….especially for the small everyday blessings. The pressures of life can so distort our view of God’s goodness….and for me, it is almost always a result of self-centerness. With God’s help I will purpose to do better in this area. Thank you.
I will be extremely honored to call you my sister-in-law… and I am so blessed to be a small piece of your amazing family…
~Maria
Congratulations to your brother and his fiancee — I used to send my husband notes and cards at his work before retirement!.
That is wonderful about your brother. They look like a lovely couple. I hope they will be happy together. :o)

Kelly
Congrats to your brother! They look cute together. Love the note ideas!
aww.. i like the corny, mushy- gushy stuff. 🙂 “Can I keep you?” was my favorite.here’s another one to add to the list – i saw it the other day. “when we’re apart I think of all the things I want to say to you… but when we’re together, talking is the last thing I want to do!!” guess we’re crossing the line from corny to steamy – but steamy’s good too!! ha! have an awesome weekend~p.s. great shots of your brother and his girl!! congratulations to them.
Congratulations to David and Maria. Very precious pictures.
I think I have the same Hallmark pad…you do well to remind us all to give our husbands a love note. Thanks!
Thank you for your nice comments. David has caught both the camara bug and the desire to remember some of our fun times. blessings, Jenny
my dear Shanda,How refreshing to come visit your site after being away. I went back and took the walk with you and your mom in the forest, delighting in the shiny acorns, I cried reading about the treasure you all have in Rich’s sweet, wise grandmother, and I savored the words of wisdom from Spurgeon. I especially like your idea of making November a month of thanksgiving!Hugs, Mary
Congrats to your brother. He looks so proud and happy with his soon to be bride, and you can see the love radiating from her. I bet you took those pics? You have a great way of capturing the emotion in your pictures. It has to be you taking those shots. 🙂 I love the note quotes! I usually stick a “love you” note in my dh’s wallet or his lunch box. I used to do it all the time, but after 14yrs I have gotten out of the habit. Thanks for the reminder. I might borrow a few of those. I love sticking the note in his wallet, because he might not see it immediately that day, but when he goes to buy lunch (or whatever) he will see it. It always makes him happy. BlessingsMelody
The first one and the one with her eyes closed are my favs. The light is perfect there on your porch, they will be thrilled when they see these!
