The day arrives when you see a teeny tiny hole (usually in a screen) and you think, “Oh well, he won’t notice THAT.” You hope it won’t get noticed because we all know what happens to teeny tiny holes that get noticed. They grow. Oftentimes~ mysteriously. You never actually SEE it happen.
Recently, at our house, a hole got noticed. And it got too big. WAAAAY too big.
My purpose has been defeated
So now I want to know something. Should I:
1. Rediscover my creative side and sew an artsy patch?
or,
2. Buy a new playpen.
or,
3. Graduate the little guy from the playpen and give him complete freedom.
I need a playpen!

haha… i think it’d be kinda cute to have little patches all over the thing, but it would probably be easier to just buy a new one 🙂
uh ohhhhh Caleb! Time 4 a new one! 🙂
Hahaha… Too Funny!!!! I too think it would be cute to see patches all over it!! ❤ Jami
I think the patches would be cute, but it would be tons easier to buy another playpen Very Cute!!!
Thank you for your sweet words on my site, they are always so uplifting.
glad you captured the moment on camera!! thanks for the smiles the pics brought
I’m wondering since he’s figured this out, whether he won’t “create” a new hole?? Maybe just patch up the old one and see if he tries to find another “out”?? LOL.
I laughed and showed Josh when I saw this. I would just buy a new one if it was me. Oh no… comparison shopping… 🙂
oh no!!! haha. Yeah I vote get a new one! 🙂
Would you like to borrow my pack and play? I definitely don’t need it (and won’t for a while), and it would save you from buying a new one. Let me know 🙂 It’s in great shape.
Very funny! This happened to mine too! But after I was done with it…my nephew was here for a visit and found our tiny hole…it didn’t take long for that hole to grow!!
Now, that’s funny!! How does this happen??
Hooo-eee! That picture got me chuckling! Hmm… could you put that part next to the wall? Probably not. Yup! You need a new playpen. There are just those times when you have to, for their own safety and for your own sanity and peace of mind, stick them in there!
Oh my goodness, that is too funny! Get a new playpen!!!! 🙂
I’ve never used a playpen, so the concept is foreign to me. But I’ve never had a crib or changing table either. I vote for artsy patches.
I was never a play pen person either. But I understand the need for one. I vote for the patches…unless of course you see the need for one in the future and then I would go for the new one.
Too funny. I’ve never used mine much – except for a traveling crib. Now I keep it just so I can have someplace for the babies that come to visit.
Patch-er up! I bet you could even go to the dollar store and buy a lingerie bag and use that to patch it up with, so the patch would be mesh too. That is, if you’re not in the creative patching mood today. ; ) As long as the playpen is safe that is. : )
Hugs!
Oh that’s too funny! That second picture is hillarious!! I’ve never had a playpen.
Have a great day!
Patch it! It’s way cheaper. I don’t know if you guys are open to having more children, but if not, why spend the $$ if he’s the last one to play in it? If you think that God will bless you with more children, then I might reconsider buying a new one…
That is so funny!! Thanks for the laugh. I bet Miss Susie could patch it right up, and feel right good about the nifty fix as well!
That brings back memories!! The same thing happened to us, I sewed the hole and hoped for the best. Cute pictures.
Funny! Mine has a little hole, but Sarah is using it, not Jake. I don’t think she will notice for quite some time. I think mine has been in use for about 7 years too! I got it when Rachel was a baby.
Oh that is so funny! I need to be using my playpen more often. I have had the same one for almost nine years. I love the pictures.
LOL!! Too cute.New playpen!! I use mine too. Safe way for powder room visits.Blessings,Angie
Young lady, you should make a 2 ft diameter tube out of the either durable fabric or netting. Attach the tube to the playpen hole. Have the tube circle around to the other side of the playpen where you should make a small hole in the fabric.
I just really did laugh out loud. How adorable. As a fellow mom of five, my youngest also being a busy little one, I vote for #2. A new playpen. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Especially if there could be a #6 or # 7 someday. 😉 Your blog blesses me so much. *Penny
