I got a case of the giggles today. The reason? Stress overload. Sometimes you just gotta laugh.
The weather is so messy today. Slushy, icy, drizzling rain. It’s oozing into the basement and crawling slowly in every direction. Guess who’s down there walking around picking up stuff out of a giant puddle? Yours truly.
Our cat Patches was fixed last week and started bulging on her tummy. Guess who called the vet? Guess who took her to the vet? You guessed it! It was me! Me and five kids and the dog! Through the pouring rain we went.
Just look at that picture up there! Me with the cat carrier by my side and the rest of the van filled with the kids and the dog! I got soaked, the road was washing out in one area, the side walk was flooded as I walked into the office, I got my feet wet, had to go a longer way to get home, school to do, lunch to eat. I feel like the day is galloping. GALLOPING!
I’m eating my soup now, while I type. Today is a day of multitasking. And exclamation points.
!

Looks like Dave thinks his Uncle is a good role model! Funny!
Hope your day calms down for you.
Oh, NO! What a day and it isn’t over with yet…. Keep and eye on that basement – that is how our flood started out and the rain just kept coming. I know one more thing to stress about.
Love you and keep on keeping on… That is all we can do some days.
That picture says it all! Yes, sometimes all you can do is laugh….tomorrow is a new day (thank God!)…hang in there….
Sometimes it helps to sing ~ my singing might make everyone giggle at the same time!
Hang in there! Tomorrow is Saturday.
Glad you could laugh….to tell you the truth that picture gave me the giggles too. I just love that doggie head in the back seat. =)
Who took the picture!?
Laughter is a great release, sometimes its all you can do. Smile! The day is half over! 🙂
Thanks for visiting my site…. come by often.
Laugh sure is all that we can do about something, just pray that tommorow you can sleep in!
btw…how is Patches doing??
You are my hero! I had to visit the Vet with our dog last week in sunny weather with my 18 year old daughter helping.Luv the picture…did you use a timer?
I took the picture (not while I was driving, though!) with my camera on the dash using the timer. I just wish that Grace had appeared in the picture, she’s there -you just can’t see her. Patches is okay, she is on antibiotics now! She’ll be fine. 🙂
Oh Shanda, what a day you have had! Hang in there girl, it’s almost over. It’s 4:13 your time and soon, it will be bedtime. 🙂 I hope that tomorrow is more relaxing for you.
What a picture – giggles are good. lol LOL ha ha HA HA he he HE HE You made me smile.
Oh my! My day has been crazy, too, but I only have two children! I hope it slows down a bit and your husband gets home early. 🙂
Bless you! Some days if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry! I think the funniest thing about the picture are the bright doggie eyes peering from the back! Hope tomorrow is a better day!
woah… multi-task lady! 🙂
Your face looks calm….like, “ok lets do this….do to do.”
Go SHANDA….looks like you conquered the world today!!!
how many exclamation points does it take to make a day INSANE? cause I’ve had days packed FULL of exclamation point moments and let me tell ya, I think I came quite close to loosing what few marbles I have left. LOL I love your picture by the way. You are trying to remain calm, cool, and collected but inside you are like (!!!!!!!!!!!!!). LOL hang in there… It gets WORSE! just kidding. Tomorrow is a new day, and… ‘The sun will come out tomorrowwww… bet yer bottom dollar that tomorrow…. there’ll be sun…. And I’ll stick up my CHIN and GRIN and SAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY tomorrow!!! tomorrow!!! I love ya! tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! it’s only a day awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy!’
P.S. how’d I sound? do you think I could make it on American Idol? 😉 LOL
It’s the dog peeking around to get in the picture and David’s expression…Oh Shan it is so funny!

Thought I would drop by and say hi. I do not envy your trip to the VET…not at all…LOL
LOL the picture, it made me smile (looks like my van, just add a few more kids). Sorry you had such an exclamation point kind of day, hope your weekend is better. Oh yeah, the pictures were from Isaiah’s birthday last Saturday, I was just a little slow posting them.
I don’t know…it was something about the dogs eyes just looking forward so innocently…I lost it. I don’t want to laugh at your “misery” but I sure am glad you could!!!This photo is priceless.PS…there was a photo and sign at the grocery store saying free dog…yep…he looked JUST like yours! I ALMOST took the number. Now I wish I would have.Have a wonderful…dry…weekend.
🙂 Love the picture! Sometimes ya gotta laugh or your gonna scream! 🙂
Love the picture! Hope your kitty is okay. Thanks for visiting yesterday- I also wanted to tell you that if you get chance, please read my post on Jan. 21. It is the story of the birth and death of our second daughter, Erin- and most importantly, Tom’s salvation.
Take care and God bless~ Laurel
